One of my favorite Frank Cadwell memories...feel free to post your own...RIP Mr Frank

Just one year ago this week when Mr. Frank joined the winners of the CCBill and NatNet Final Four contest for the trip to Atlanta....and what a trip it was. Thanks to JFK we have parts of it captured forever in a way that only Julius can.....if you want to see the whole trip check out the page on FUBAR at http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/events.php?id=84 .

Just having a conversation with Mr Frank was everything from humbling to exciting to educational.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00033.jpg

This was what he looked like when he was being serious.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00074.jpg

And this is what he looked like when he was being wild and crazy......

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00076.jpg

Whether he knew you well or had just met you, he always made you feel special.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00066.jpg

His laugh laugh was simply contagious.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00099.jpg

The man loved a good meal...(please note you will see a pattern developing here)

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00169.jpg

He loved sports.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00195.jpg

Even if he already knew everything you were saying he still listened and made you feel important....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00187.jpg

I witnessed many of these conversations happen...while others were hanging out and having a party he would be more interested in how it worked....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00254.jpg

Did I mention his love for food???

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00263.jpg

He always had a smile and a kind word.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00272.jpg

As I recall, this pic was taken about 2 minutes before he stepped in and explained to all of us how to do an office pool when between the 5 of us we were as lost as a fart in a whirlwind.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00321.jpg

Three of my biggest competitors in one picture.....and I love them all.....

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00300.jpg

And my FAVORITE pic of the whole trip......

http://www.fubarwebmasters.com/galle...518/z00349.jpg

Mr Frank.....you will be missed, my friend.

Rest In Peace.

What a great trip! That trip was the first thing I thought of when I heard the news. I remember when we got in our hotel rooms and his was right next to mine. Mr. Frank commented that he was glad to be next to us quiet girls. Little did he know what he was in for! LOL

Remember the good times...

RIP

yah man, i can attest to him treating everyone like somebody. at a ccbill dinner one night he genuinely was interested in me and who i was and was the most gracious host. same goes for mama ccbill. sad to see them both pass so close to each other, but at least they are together now. god bless the ccbill family as they go through this time.

I met Frank my first phoenix forum. Every year after that whenever I ran into him he took the time to talk to me, not just shooting the weather but would sit down and talk to me about everything from business to family to friends at the forum and my pranks therein. Very few people do that, esp with people they have little business relations with. We chat for an hour or two every year. The man was incredibly intelligent and I really looked forward to talking with him every year. I'm not just saying this cause of CCbill and their reputation in the industry, I really LIKED Frank and will miss him. His soft humble intelligent apporach to people and the world, considering his position within the industry, was an inspiration to me.

If you want to be successful - talk to successful people. Success in my mind is defined by how the people you touch and effect in your life remember you, not money. Frank touched a LOT of people in very positive ways. Honestly there isn't a lot of people in my life - a few but not a lot - that with their passing I'm emotionally hurt.

i'm gona go cry now.

bye Frank. I'll miss you.

Wonderful story T, and a great idea to share memories. One of my favorite memories of Frank and JoAnn, was from an infamous TPF dinner a couple of years ago at the Bamboo Club. We were all having a great time, as usual at the forum, and our table decided to do a couple “Sake Bombers”. Needless to say, we got a little rowdy, though nothing out of hand. Frank and JoAnn came over to see what the commotion was about, and as soon as they found out, they instantly sat down to join us for a “bomb”. A couple of hours, and many sake bombers later, Frank and JoAnn were still there, laughing and sharing with all of us. We had an amazing time getting together and I wish I had pictures to share from that event, but I couldn’t find any.

Frank was a gracious and sweet man, who always made himself available to anyone that wanted to talk with him. We love you Frank… it won’t be the same without you.

I find myself really warmed as I read people's stories. I can feel the love. How wonderful that he touched so many people so positively.

Thank you for sharing.

I remember that dinner....in fact, as I recall we counted JoAnn doing 13 Sake Bombs (the same number that I did, btw) and I am pretty sure she walked out on her own...while I, on the other hand, was pushed/fell down that big ass escalator in the front. :1orglaugh

T, you and I were in the same boat that night. I matched JoAnn in shots as well, which is why Stewie had to carry me back to the hotel over his shoulder? after I almost fell down the escalator too! :1orglaugh

I'll never forget that night, JoAnn kept encouraging Allie to do "just one more" Sake Bomb. Yeah JoAnn walked out on her own, Allie on the other hand needed a little help. :winkwink:

JoAnn and Frank were both about the most genuine people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. You only had to spend 5 minutes with either of them to know they were the type of people that lived life to its fullest!

There was a dinner the cadwells had about 6 months ago or so. People were sitting around the table telling stories and frank said something that surprised everyone at the table. He said that in his household, he made all of the important decisions and joann made all of the small decisions. Now, everyone that knew the cadwells knew this was something completely out of character for frank to say, as he was always putting Joann on pedestal. Joann sat there with a poker face, as she knew the punch line that was coming.

?the thing is, Joann decides what is important and what is not as important? and the table roared with laughter and joann was glowing and and looked as graceful as always

Frank escorted me through the old CCBill offices himself during the first Forum I attended - and every year thereafter he sought me out without fail - as he did so many others - by the end of every Phoenix Forum for a private sit-down chat - wanted to know what we liked, what we didn't, was anything missing, what else we'd like to see...I've looked forward to that meeting every year - always knowing it was coming...:)

Frank was a great guy talked to him a few times and he will be greatly missed
