Similar to what Ms. Kayne already said, try some different POTDs. Don't litter it with multiple banners whatever you do.

Since we're on the topic of blogs, opinions on whether to host one's blog as part of the main site/ blog or as a separate domain/IP? I can see the argument either way and just curious as to what the board's thoughts were.

GEO ad's from loadedcash (sig) are the best sellers for me

I do text links to the individual posts in question, add a search script, and pop in the occasional PotD... also a blog roll, archives, other "links" some asparagus and a cheese melt.

different for every blog/audience both mainstream + adult, so it all depends

personally i use analytics heavily.. site overlay + content performance and filter low performing ads/banners - put to the top (feature) high click content on sidebars and visible areas

I use our POTD's and big vertical banners.

Anyone have any luck with VideosZ stuff in their sidebar? I just added their FLV video wall in my sidebar a few hours ago. Looks pretty cool, so hopefully it will bring in some sales.
