Maybe that is why in societies that permit polygamy there are weaker women's rights. ;-)

It shouldn't be illegal. These are not legal marriages, just live-in girlfriend situations where there are several girlfriends who all know about each other. Consenting adults should be able to enter into these relationships.

If they want to target those guilty of child abuse, fine, but polygamy itself is not the true problem.

I would love to have multiple wives, I'm sure I could even find a couple of women willing to do so.... that way when I'm horny and 1 just wants to sleep I can go after one of the others...

Other than underage crap, why should the government dictate who or how many people you marry. Oh, entitlements? Do away with entitlements and lower taxes. The country survived long before the 'Great Society' came along or scoical security for that matter.
