Exmasters Hosting Prices
 

I have been working with this company for over 7 years now, but seem that will not offer me the same price they do others here. I was told the best the could do was 2000 gig for 100$, but as we all know this is NOT true.

Of course I guess I need to start removing all data from their servers, as next time I need to update my BW package I do not want to have to Fight to get a fair price.

This is what they 'say' they offer people here, But when U e-mail them........................

($7.95/month for 2000 GB bandwidth, unlimited domains and subdomains, 1 FREE domain registration included in the price, 200 GB disk storage!)

mmmm.... it seems to me they must have been talking about a dedicated server, $100 mo. for a dedicated which allows you 5Mbit transfers does go for that price...

The 7.95 package should be for a virtual acc........those usually have some sort of restriction......talk 2 them again ...... (BTW I host my stuff in a webair dedicated box..so I can't give you feedback about exmasters.....I've heard nice things of them though.....good luck!)

The only hting I dislike about them is the lag time creating new mysql dbs and adding domains.... can take hoursupon hours sometimes. :2 cents:

Ya I worked with them for year, But your right the 'Quot' seem to not be the price they list on thier program. But one way or another I am going to have to change host it looks like, I have a Servage account now, so might just transfer everything to them then look for other options.

I did talk to Servage about this, but seems they can not help me in transferring the data (if any reps from there are around I would really appreciate some help moving my data)

I need to get it up to a dedicated server soon, and have seen a good price on 50mbps tier 1 (750$), but I just need something in the mean time while I build up my BW usage.

mm... interesting .... I might be stating the obvious but if you are planning on migrating your stuff to a 50Mbps server......you are better off doing it right now instead of changing to Servage.........they offer a lot of bandwidth BUT if you hit 20-30GB (or 400K hits) a day in traffic ....your account gets deactivated until you "regulate your traffic"

Ya Thax, Bro and ya your right I really do expect all kinds of ‘growing pains’, but I am not even sure of the usage yet. So want to start off a bit slow could take 1-3 months before I need to renegotiate my package with them Servage (do they offer bigger packages?)

But again Your 100% right the next 6 months or so will be a nightmare of changing hosting packages, I need to watch them to make sure I do not get cut-off or to at least be ready with my next step so Thax again. :)

BTW if U can not pull more than 30 gigs a day how can U get 2000 gigs a month? By my count that is only 900 or so gig possible then

....Servage doesn't offer bigger packages, once you hit 400K hits a day you are done for.

Each image that is loaded from your website on a visitors browser is counted as a hit.....I asked them the same thing and they didn't answer the question regarding the hit/bandwidth cap......you will never be able to reach the 2K gig mark they advertise (more like 900gig before the acc gets turned off)..., ask them and you'll see :winkwink::pimp

If you have a text only tgp things might change though......

Hell NO I have to run lots of Flash Vids LOL, this 1000-2000 gig stuff is just 'playtime' really. I might keep my exmaster account, and spread some of it too Servage. U know if things work that way might be best to only let Servage host the vids, as the are really Large and if the count mainly page views this could really help that out, as the vids could hit 2000 gigs on much less hits a day.

I don’t really know, but I have the feeling these are the kind of games I will have to play for the next few months :(

Ya I am going to stay with them, they do have a good rep, and was kind of my fuck-up here.

But I am going to need a really good deal soon on Mbps, I have seen a few around here so sure this will come up again soon :)

Ok if Servage, is not going to work for more than a temp vid plug-in who would U recommend for really Low cost BW. I know need a dedicated soon, but are thier any other options, I see many many people?s advertising they offer 2000-3000 gigs a month for like 10$ but are all these just Fake BS?

And if this stuff is so Fake why do U guys let them get away with it, I would call them on that BS

mmm ... most of the big playas here are hosting their stuff on dedicated boxes......they don't care about virtual (only for small projects)

After the Servage fiasco I moved my stuff to dedicated (I'm not a big playa ... yet) and I'm happy with it ..... if you ask around you might find something good as far as virtual.... good luck:thumbsup

Ya this virtual stuff is not going to last more than 1-2 months I bet, going to start looking out for some good deals soon.

I am going to start getting everything ready to be moved, once I start to break about 5000 gig or so, I will change it out.

I hate dealing with all this mess, but something tells me over the next 6 months I will become a real processing pro.
