Canadians, anyone use zip.ca?

Thinking of signing up. Curious if anyone else uses their services

Just checked it out.
I don't know if that is the norm, but it's fucking expensive.
If I want a movie I will go to my local rogers wich is less than a 5 min walk for me.

I walk to the store if I want a movie or just rent one off ROD. Thought about using zip.ca but its too time consuming.

I tried it out for couple of months - hated it compared to Netflix. The delay from of using Canadian mail service didn't make it worth while, when it took a good week for the DVDs to arrive back at to them, and for my account to be credited 4 they send out new ones.

This is a netflix type thing? Why bother when I have VOD on my TV package... no waiting, instant gratification!

MaLayLaH 04-14-2008 12:30 AM

I used to have it. I ended my membership because they have you make a list of videos you'd like sent to you, and if some of them weren't new features they'd send those before the ones you had on priority. So basically, if your into watching older movies, they send those faster than new arrivals.

no... cant you get netflix in ca?

ravo 04-14-2008 06:02 AM

We use it, and are happy with it. I like the convenience of the mail delivery. And, price works out to about the same as going to the rental store; we watch 5-10 movies per month (@ $24.95/mo).

No, netflix is not available in Canada. As far as I know, zip.ca is the only option.
