biggest adult hosting company?

Who is that? Sort of looking for huge and good and stable. Not looking for smaller and up and coming sorry. Got a friend needs 7 servers. He was at Rackshack and needs a better place.

Sly 04-17-2008 07:38 PM

Well, that's actually a pretty broad question because a lot of facilities could be considered adult hosting companies just because they carry people that have adult sites. Finding good, stable companies that have been operating for years isn't too difficult though.

Ray@TastyDollars 04-17-2008 07:41 PM

TechieMedia and SwiftWill. None better.

Sly 04-17-2008 07:41 PM

Also, is he going to buy the servers or lease? Does he need management or not?

Those factors come into play as well.

Lycanthrope 04-17-2008 07:51 PM

I concur with Sly. Also, biggest doesn't always mean best nor most stable - especially if said company grew too fast for their own good and let things like customer support take a second seat.

A stable medium sized company that has been in business for 5 - 10 years will probably offer the best bang for the buck. They're typically big enough to remain competitively priced, yet small enough to offer you personalized service.

vod 04-17-2008 07:56 PM

I would not use anyone else... and have not used anyone else at except Caro.net .. try FREE test server for 30 days from Caro.net and XonDemand http://www.freetestserver.com

when looking for a host most people look at Bandwidth, support and hardware...

fris 04-17-2008 07:57 PM

likewhoa

Rochard 04-17-2008 07:58 PM

National Net has the best support and they are huge.

If you call them at 4am their time you'll get a live person in a few rings. Not an answering machine.

TidalWave 04-17-2008 08:44 PM

Are you or he around LA? I'll give you a tour of our 4 privately owned datacenters and you can see what huge in this industry is :)

We have 30,000SQFT of datacenter space FILLED with servers and clients, and another 9000SQFT available for expansion. In just dedicated servers we fill about 1 cabinet per week (24 servers). We're not Rackshack (ThePlanet) size with 50,000 servers YET, but we are definitely quite steadfast in our goals to get there!

His 7 servers will have no better home.
We do not colocate in someone elses datacenter, we don't rely on another hosting company or the datacenters staff for anything.

We have an ON-SITE NOC and Support Engineers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are very very very few hosts here that can say the same, and some may say it and they lie.
I will prove it to you in person if you are anywhere near Los Angeles or if you want to send someone you know to take a look :)
We are the biggest client (space contracts wise) in 530 West 6th Street ("One Telecom Center") in downtown LA. All our contracts are for 10 years so we definitely have no doubts of our longevity.

He needs service and he will be leasing the servers. So think dedicated server but I told him I would find a big stable company that is comfortable with adult.

biggest ever has to be likewhoa.com

mrkris 04-17-2008 09:09 PM

slapass, I've done hosting with virtual every one of the larger hosting companies that advertise here on GFY. In the end, I use Techiemedia. Monthly cost is cheap, great hardware, and their support is the best I've run across.

The Judge 04-17-2008 09:32 PM

jcsike 04-17-2008 09:38 PM

cavecreek, they host myspace

DK 04-17-2008 09:39 PM

National Net has been around forever and have aquired many of the start up hosts from back in the day. Their customer support is by far THE best in the business.
I can call up tech support to plugin a domain for me at 2am on christmas morning and im speaking to an experienced tech who knows what hes doing, not a seat filler or machine.
I can't remember when the last time i was down, and I think it was for planned maintanance that they foretold us about.

Sweet T and Bill are great guys too, almost like family after all these years!
Rock on Guys!

After Shock Media 04-17-2008 09:41 PM

I also support www.techiemedia.net

Now there's a CLASS ACT .... Sly has been around the block a few times himself, and yet he does not jump at the opportunity to turn his post into an infomercial .....

fris 04-18-2008 05:55 AM

got to love all the companies spamming in hopes to getting a customer

Boss Traffic Jim 04-18-2008 09:05 AM

Slapass as mentioned several times in this thread, I also am with TechieMedia. I don't know about being the "Biggest" but by far they are 1 of the best. They did just open their 2nd own data center and offices so they must be pretty big if that even really matters. To me and what I think is most important is that they are very competitive in pricing, but Far Superior in support and thats what really counts for a host.:2 cents::2 cents:

Pete-KT 04-18-2008 09:07 AM

www.MOJOHOST.com best host out there

Wiredoctor 04-18-2008 09:23 AM

Kick Ass Chat 04-18-2008 09:52 AM

I'm not sure what "biggest means or has anything to do with being the best? But here is another HUGE fan of one of the best hosts in todays biz Techiemedia, it's more than a host, it's a family...:2 cents::thumbsup

Linguist 04-18-2008 10:04 AM

MikesTraffic 04-18-2008 10:09 AM

Adam_OC3 04-19-2008 01:35 PM

jerzeemedia 04-19-2008 08:14 PM

In my opinion, if you're serious about your online presence I'd have to direct you over to www.mojohost.com - maybe not the "biggest", but definitely the best I've ever had the pleasure of hosting with. Never any downtime, amazing support, brilliant techs and on a personal note the guys there are just incredible people.

If you are looking for seven machines, perhaps you should look into multiple locations for them, we would be able to service you in four geographically diverse locations to allow you to distribute content to your users.

Email me at [email protected] if you are interested.
