I got one when they first came out and never had a problem with it. There were alot of things I liked about it, but the iPod is pretty much standard and very easy to use.

candyflip 04-21-2008 09:35 AM

I've sold quite a few of these on eBay.

Cheap and easy to use. No worries about dropping and breaking, like I do with my video iPod.

Axzar 04-21-2008 10:04 AM

More reviews from users please.. thinking about buying one..

TubeTitans_SusieQ 04-21-2008 10:05 AM

I think you jsut need to get used to it, I got my man a 30gb, and if you play around with it its a little annoying, but once you get used to it its awesome :)

i got a really good deal on a 30GB one...

was pissed off that you can't simply drag and drop onto it like a harddrive but yeh, once you get used to it it's pretty sweet. great display, near high-def, watching videos on it isnt that bad and can make travel a lot easier.

reallllllly pissed that mine got stolen. i miss it a lot.

Pretty satisfied with it sofar, you have to get used to it.

I would go for an ipod though if i had to buy one, got mine as an xmas present so no need to buy an ipod but still (thnx TCG) *2cents

I have both an ipod and a zune, ipod is so much better, I have a 30Gb version of each and the Zune never gets used because the ipod is easier to quickly find the song I want

I use the zune at the desk and an ipod in the car. Wouldn't get another zune and ended up getting the ipod b/c there is no support for zune-to-car hook ups. Unless you do RF mods but then you don't get steering wheel control over your mp3 player.

The zune marketplace crashes alot when trying dl content.(running XP) I haven't had a problem with itunes yet.

i have an Ipod shuffle, Ipod Nano, 60gb Ipod and an Iphone.

not sure what you mean either, the search on zune is almost instant, similar to ajax search on websites

the issue with the zune not being controlled by the steering wheel is a car unit issue and not a zune issue

the newer units coming out now are allowing for zune controls via usb in the bac of the units :)

you need to set it to not sync on it's own

ANYONE that owns an mp3 player with the "sync" option should do that, as the sync option will only create headaches in the future for you

there are a few hacks around, just do a search on google. and yes it's very frustrating to use myspace type software at home to do anything :(

I've been able to make it work for me but it's a total pain in the ass.

Jace 04-22-2008 06:46 AM

one thing I do wish is that they never upgraded the software to this new version

the old version was way better, but the new one does look nice :) haha

"At approximately midnight Pacific Standard Time, on December 31, 2008, Zune 30s across the world simultaneously went to the boot screen and stayed there, frozen.[15][16] Some believe the problem stems from the recent 3.1 update.[17][18] People experiencing the problem are giving the event many names, among them Z2K9,[19] Y2K9,[20] Z2K,[20][21] the Zune Screen of Death,[21] Zunepocalypse,[22] and the December 31st, 2008 Zune Meltdown. Microsoft posted a comment on the support front page stating the issue is because 2008 is a leap year and all Zune 30s were not programmed to recognize this. The official "fix" is to drain the device battery and then recharge after midday GMT on 1 January 2009.[23] It is worth noting that due to time constraints Microsoft left it to Toshiba Corp to design the internal hardware of the Zune 30, an action they have not repeated since."

I had this player for 1 year exactly, one year of frustration over its complicated soft etc., so when this happened i just throw it on the floor...
damn :helpme
