Anyway for embedded mpg video to show first frame?
I am trying to embed a mpg file into a page and want to know if I can show the first frame of the video rather than have it start automatically or just show black?
|
convert it to flv, problem solved.

Thanks, while I could do that these are sponsor hosted videos so I'd prefer if I did not have to download, convert and host them all. Any other options?

make it when you click on the thumb it loads the video
|
Not sure I follow, do you mean just manually make thumbnails of all the videos and link directly to them? I am trying to embed them into the page but if I make them not start automatically (which is what I want) each video is all black when the page loads, which is fine, but it would be preferable if I could somehow show the first frame of each video rather than just black before the user plays each one.

is it for a tour? or just a free site? you could use a script to do it
|
not very easily
you could do it with javascript using a thumbnail overlay |
free site, can you point me in the right direction to find a script that would show the first frames?
|
Smokey, so I'd would need to manually capture a frame from each video and then overlay it on the embedded player?
|
phplinkdropper can do what you want, its 49$ i think

mmm, how about a flash layer overlay (over embedded video player) with a onmouseover/unload that contains a jpg of the vid clip?
