Best Movie (gritty style) ... what's yours?
 

I'm running out of shit to rent - fav flicks are #1 Requiem for a Dream and #2 Party Monster. Anyone else watch the gritty dark style flixs? Whats your fav?

A great gritty, dark type movie:
very different dark comedy "The Dark Backward"
It's about a garbage man, played by Judd Nelson, who is an extremely unfunny stand up comedian by night. he gets a showbiz break when he starts growing a third arm out of his back. The movie's highlight is Bill Paxton have a four-way with 3 300+ pound ladies...definitely not the requiem Ass To Ass, but a little different to say the least...and can't go wrong with cameos by James Caan, Rob Lowe and Wayne Newton

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I always thought that Payback with Mel Gibson was a great dark and gritty film.

Spun is also a good one

ahh ... don't hate all clowns SusieQ, some are nice and give you candy and do cart-wheels. lol

Dark Days was pretty gritty, but not really a conventional movie.

Donnie Darko was pretty dark. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but I thought it was a great flick

I f yer lookin for "dark" then "kids" is about as dark as it gets.

Event Horizon, Donnie Darko and Equalibrium ftw.

Same person wrote Gummo, Kids is a sick movie, but Gummo has it beat on the darkness scale!!
