Very true, business can ruin a friendship for sure. I found that out the hard way. In most situations I would think it would be better to look past the friendship and be in boss mode (even if you are partners). Otherwise the business can truly hurt as a result of giving too much leeway to a buddy and in most instances it will ruin the friendship entirely.

All this is easier said than done and what I'm about to say will be no exception: set shit straight with your partner BEFORE you venture into this together weather he's your best buddy or worst enemy!

Just start being a major pain in his ass and start riding him hard until he gets the hint.
