Contact lenses leach chemcials into our eyes?
 

Because of the current bpa scare I was asked if contacts leach chemicals such as BPA into our eyes. i was dumbstruck. i have no idea. i have found some indications, but no real proof that bpa is used in the manufacturing of contact lenses. also, i have been unable to find out what chemicals are used to make a contact lens.

any ideas?
