I have used LiveDomain.biz (formally AssetNic.com) for the past 3 years with not one issue, currently have about 520 domains with them.

If you don't need whois protection, Name Alerts. They have the cleanest and easiest to use interface, no bullshit upselling,and I have had zero problems in 3 - 4 years.

Do NOT USE DomainNameSystems.com for this reason alone, there grace period before they release your domain name to other DNS customers is 5 days unlike most registrars grace period of 30 days!

I reccomend:

NameBargain.com - 8.99 and subsidiary of register.com
Moniker.com
Directnic.com
