Big surprise... US State department says Venezuela linked to the "Evil Axis"...

Venezuela has the 2nd largest oil reserve (tar sands) in the world behind Canada. Tar sands will be the big suppliers of oil once all the "easy" oil becomes more scarce. I've been saying it for a while now.. the US government is slowly demonizing Venezuela so that in a decade or 2 they'll have jutification to invade. But then again, maybe before then Hugo Chavez will "die" and someone more willing to bow to the US will come into power and prevent it.

I trust the US State Department more than I trust you. Sorry.

"Axis of Evil" is defined as any country that doesn't get along with the U.S. administration. If you don't love the U.S., you're evil!

The sad irony is, how many countries have invaded another to overthrow their government? The U.S. has.

How many countries have used nuclear weapons on other countries?
The U.S. has.

Yet, for some reason countries like Iran and North Korea are not allowed to own or develop nukes?

And these countries are part of some imaginary axis of evil ... yet the U.S. has invaded Iraq (despite NATOs objections and faulty intelligence), tried to assassinate Castro (among other leaders it didn't like), harbored known terrorists (Cubans ... look it up if you don't believe me) and dropped more nukes than anyone.

In any event Bush's administration has zero credibility now, thankfully. So when something comes out like this, most intelligent people just roll their eyes and laugh it off. This means nothing in world opinion.

Heres one. It not even the main one. But here is one.

The numbers speak volumes: About 75 tons of cocaine left Venezuela in 2003; it is estimated that 276 tons will leave the country this year. Before, the main destination was the United States; now, Europe is increasingly the target. Italy and Spain are two new important and lucrative end-user markets, and earning in euros is undeniably better than getting paid in dollars these days.

Need more?

Heres Another...

A group of Venezuelans had engineered the sale of Iranian arms and munitions to his country, using Venezuelan companies as a cover to bypass the U.N. embargo on Iran's arms trade. Likewise, the guerrillas in Colombia seem to have no trouble acquiring weapons -- many of which come through Venezuela-based arms dealers.

Mr Chavez of funded the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. Colombian officials contend computer documents revealed Mr Chavez had given more than $US300 million ($322 million) to the FARC.

And this is absolute wash...

Venezuela has no where near the amount of Oil America has.
America has over 100 Million Barrels of oil already in the reserve. Meaning dug up and barreled already, while more than enough oil for the next 50-60 years sitting in the ground waiting to be pumped.

So If the USA kills Hugo it will be for the sheer pleasure of it.

I spent a few weeks in Venezuela a few years back. Some cute babes but the country is fucked up. Lots of crime, fraud and some very nasty people live there :321GFY
