past week I ordered 2 dvd´s, $24,95 each

usually all of them goes for that price or ---> $29,95

Jesse Jane: Pirates $49,95
Island Fever 3: $49,95

Normally digital playground has collectors editions, extra discs and all that. Are they regular DVDs or blu-ray?

The other question is... what is the advantage of using a comma as opposed to a "." when quoting a price?

Or do her DVD's cost 49 thousand dollars?

A lot of non-US or Canadian countries list prices this way.


As for the DVD costs, $50 for Pirates is pretty good, when it first came out I remember seeing it in stores for $80.

Those movies have a budget of about 20X the normal porn shoot if not more, so wholesale price is probably in the $20+ range where most porn is at $6 to $8 (high end stuff is 16 wholesale) this is ultra high end. (pirate ships, and private beaches ain't cheap yo!) Not to mention Jesse and the whole DP slew of chicks are smoking hot and get paid top dollar.

???????? Are you serious about the comma thing? that's pretty standard procedure outside of North America as has already been stated. The more sensible way is to understand what you are looking at before commenting on it. Think about it...why would a comma come before 2 numbers? 18,58 can only mean 18.58 because 1858 with a comma would be 1,858.

But onto the original discussion. I have no idea who is paying upwards of $60 for a porn DVD. I guess people who haven't heard that they have the interweb on computers yet. And I really don't get the blu-ray thing. You would think the only people buying those are the people really in to tech and those ppl know about the interweb.

You're being dumb and cheeky on purpose now aren't you? That has to be it, because I know full well how it works with the comma dude, I understand it just fine. It's not rocket science. However, I just think the N. American way of using a DECIMAL to separate the dollars from the cents and a COMMA to denote thousands is a LOT clearer and more organized and concise than replacing the decimal with yet another fucking comma. And all of the banks I deal with agree with me. (they must, because all of them use the decimal as it should be used)

And we use a space between to denote thousands such as: 18 800$
