AVG 8 link scanner blocking sites it shouldnt?
 

The new free avg 8 has a built in link scanner that is turned on by default and it seems to be blocking a lot of tgp type sites..

Could be bad due to the fact that avg is pretty popular because the free version..

Nah, thought that also.. but MuntInternet is what we use. No idea who easypic uses

Guess that is a good argument for using dedicated IP's.

Just wanted to give others a heads up is all. Last i looked, it blocked thehun and ampland as well...

The problem is probably that it marks not only pages that have suspicious content on them, but also pages that link to those suspicious sites... so if you trade with sites that have suspicious stuff on them, or if you accidentally list some bad galleries, you probably get flagged.. :2 cents:

How so? It is warning the end user. What should it do?

Not getting in the middle of what you two have lol. But just my opinion is the setting shouldnt be on by default :2 cents:

You should try the paid version, talk about aggressive. I had to turn most of the features off because it used so many resources checking every little thing that it brought me to a standstill.

I think i'll pass on that one! This version is bad enough lol..

Going back to nod shortly.
