Serious Business Question for SOCAL Registered Business Owners

Do you guys have to pay business tax to the city (not state)? I'm trying to set things up but I have no idea if there is a tax to be paid besides income.... I remember back in the days when I sold some ebay items I had to pay sales tax and also a tax to the city........is it the same with service/advertising businesses in adult?

Serious Answers please.......

By "registered" do you mean "have a biz license?"

from my experience and with our businesses we don't pay city taxes just a standard business license tax which is different in every city - this is in garden grove, fountain valley, anaheim (business is classified as adult) and newport beach

i'd check with the city website in the business section for the correct info

Exactly........... I mean otherwise a person would be considered self employed right, not a business owner? (Correct me if I'm wrong as I have no idea about this...)
