Are those avarage TGP Ratios..?

Out of 5.000 gallery clicks an avarage of 800 surfers have watched the video and about 50 went to the next page / sign up page :(
Is this is a normal ratio for tgp traffic?
This is one of the galleries: http://www.realhotsex.com/hosted/sit...mov98/scg.html

I dunno about the surfer, but I got bored. Bland colors, walls of text, and although she's cute, I wasn't interested in the slightest.

So, yeah, I'd say that's on par.

biskoppen 05-03-2008 02:21 AM

Not sure about the video views.. never did much measurement on that.. but the 1% CTR seems pretty damn now..

Blue links my friend... good old fashioned blue links, that's what surfers likes and trusts...

After Shock Media 05-03-2008 02:21 AM

5001, now.

Umm if you only have 800 movie views from 5,000 click throughs to your gallery something went wrong as that is only 200 per clip. Unless of course its saturated to hell, they didnt see the big ass header and say oh I remember this and close it, you didnt get nailed by bots. blah blah.

As for a CTR to sponsor (assuming they could first page) of 50 out of 5000 could be better, but is not out of the super norm. I often think 2.5% should be your low end with minimal trickery.

My guess really would be that you are using a sponsor provided and possibly hosted gallery or gallery that is often at least served up as hosted.

Tempest 05-03-2008 02:59 AM

So 1% click thru to the sponsor? Pretty typical with an uninspiring gallery. Looks like that's actually a FHGs design so given a % of surfers may have already seen it, it shouldn't be surprising. Wanna make say 4 x $25 sales a day with a site that converts on average 1:500? Then you need 2,000 hits to the sponsor. At 1% CTR then you need 200,000 gallery views a day.. Obviously if you test and tweak things over time you can get your CTR up to 2% and maybe your conversion down to say 1:250 with the right site and gallery design/sales pitch at which point you'd only need 50,000 hits a day. Gallery posting is all about volume. Always has been.

AnneT 05-03-2008 03:38 AM

5k to the gallery is too small to judge. What are your traffic sources?

But everyone else is right here. Gallery looks clean but uninspiring. Looks blocky. Break up the design, make it more interesting. Make the links blue, animate the rollovers. Have one less video. Cut your own content (you might be doing this already, I don't know).

I'm feeling generous tonight. You won't get much better advice than that ^

Look's like a FHG, 7 outgoing links won't get you listed at many big places either.

Yeap... too many links for a galley........ and as far as the CTR.. yeap, TGP traffic is amongst the worst

AnneT 05-03-2008 04:23 AM

3 links should be enough to get click throughs. If they are all paid listings then you should seriously make a MUCH more aggresive sales pitch. It looks like a gallery from someone just trying to get listed.

polish_aristocrat 05-03-2008 04:59 AM

Machete, you came from mainstream, right?

what were/are you doing there?
could you recommend some reliable mainstream aff. programs?

Doug E 05-03-2008 05:33 AM

Make it more interactive, have the links change color when hovered. Helps a lot.

You can also make the page so it scrolls down further so the "Enter now for more Coeds Needs Cash!" is more in the center and viewable by the surfer. Or just make a bigger text pitch in between the two sets of clips.

That is completely untrue.

Matt 26z 05-03-2008 05:44 AM

Looks like you are trying to sell a Benz by giving the test drive in a used van. The compression on those videos makes them almost unwatchable.

5% is no big deal. Doesn't mean you'll make sales though ;)

It helps if you are a fan of the niche yourself so you'll know how to get your own kind clicking.

BUT.... random sponsor, random content, random banner and generic text can result in a CTR as low as 1/3 of 1 percent.

Thats kinda the point. I can can get 5% promoting the right site with the right content with the right template. Doesn't mean you can get 5% with the wrong sponsor, a bad template and poorly constructed content.

AnneT 05-03-2008 06:11 AM

To follow up, i doubt I could sell that site. TCG are pretty oversold generally and the tour is pure poo.

V_RocKs 05-03-2008 06:30 AM

You sponsor is counting second page clicks if you are looking at Stats Remote. If you are indeed getting 50 first page clicks and verified this by going to the sponsors stats page, you are doing something wrong.

But not huge wrong... It is normal to get 1:1000 to the sponsor with TGP traffic. The people that get less have galleries that include every trick in the book.

Blue links... or mouse over changing colors links. Less header, more in your face porn.

It’s difficult to survive college life especially if you’re on a tight budget and don’t have extra cash to purchase your college books. Just like other desperate college teens, Kristina is one of them and when she bumped into me, she did not hesitate to ask for help. I’m more than willing to help her, so I asked her if it’s okay to get under her clothes in exchange for a few hundred bucks. She answered with a flirty smile and after a while she’s enjoying a bumpy ride on my rock hard cock! CLICK HERE!.
Are you writing novels now? WTF?

SELL ME SOME PORN!

That should be re-written and you should be selling me this concept, not writing a story. If you are going to write me a story, at least make it something like:

This brunette bitch is named Kristina. I call her a bitch because she reminds me of a bitch I once knew. My Kristina bitch left me for a jock and now I frequent Coeds Need Cash and pretend I am the one piping Kristina in the ass. Actually, I pretend Kristina is that bitch and I am piping her in the ass.

That would sell more than what you wrote but it still isn't selling the site.

I might have read that. Especially if you broke it up into two lines with FREE COEDS being the beginning of the second line.

Good text, V Rocks hehe! ^

Totally right though. A full paragraph is way too much. Try to go THUMB SENTENCE LINK THUMB SENTENCE LINK THUMB SENTENCE LINK. If that doesn't work, change sponsor.
