From sites that usually convert below 1:700.

Signups are still going through, just at a horrible rate. Conducting a few tests, but so far everything looks normal.

I actually started a new site. Last week it was averaging 1:300. This week not a single sale.

Affiliate traffic is still pretty normal. Its just my traffic that is sucking.

I think most people's traffic is sucking (Yes, I know someone will now say "I'm converting better than I ever have! Adapt and change!"). I'm speaking on average for all affs. I don't believe that this industry is "recession proof" as some say. People don't have the money for this. Gas prices are at their highest EVER. People are changing the way they live because of it. Hopefully things will get better by the end of the summer as they are predicting.

Man that sucks... gets some new affiliates.

Every time I freak out about stats, they always correct themselves. It's very strange.

Our ratios suck big time for last 2 months ...and remain stable on our own affiliate program.
That could mean:
1 - our affiliates have much better quality traffic than we have. (for the last 2 months?!! hmmm)
or
2 - Because of tube sites affiliates programs are loosing money (especailly those giving xx$ per trial) and so must shave to survive.

What is your traffic source?

Are you tracking where in the world this traffic is from?

You can't possibly be 1:15,000 with western world traffic. Sounds like a traffic seller or trader is passing off Chinese onto you.

Judging by how far south ratios have dropped in the last year I've got a bad feeling that in 2 years we'll reminisce about the good old days when we converted at 1:15,000.

Its mainly movie/picture gallery traffic from hundreds of sources (free and paid spots). Currently not pushing any brokered traffic.

Type in and affiliate sales are still normal, its just my sources of traffic must not be producing very well the past few days - typically very reliable.

Millions of surfers surfing tube sites every day is bound to have a negative impact on sales eventually.
