Iron Man = Bas Ass!

I made the mistake of bringing a date to this movie.. didnt pay ANY attention to her all my focus was on the movie and how bad ass it was.

Anyone else have any opinions?

Richard - Triplexcash 05-04-2008 04:09 AM

Just walked in the door from watching it, and thought it was great. :thumbsup

Klen 05-04-2008 04:25 AM

Utterly badass. I give it 4.7 out of 5 stars. Only time it draged was about 3/4 of the way through for about 10 mins, then right back to it. :thumbsup

teg0 05-04-2008 07:34 AM

Im tired of super hero movies. Hollywood is afraid to try anything different.

Big_D 05-04-2008 07:53 AM

Iron Fist 05-04-2008 07:56 AM

This is NOT a superhero movie..It's a fucking bad ass flick

Horny Dude 05-04-2008 11:37 AM

Great movie and RD Jr. did a great job. Wanted to see the terrorist get some more ass kicking, but good movie all around!

LBBV 05-04-2008 12:22 PM

I saw it last night with my boy and we both agreed it was one of the best movies we had seen in a long time. Funny, full of action, great effects and Robert Downey Jr. was the perfect person for this role.

This is definitly not the standard Marvel movie. Actually it's a lot like the other ones, but they found the perfect timing / formula / non cheeziness.

Fap 05-04-2008 01:00 PM

apparently there is a bunch of stuff AFTER the credits i missed with samuel l jackson.. just a heads up for you who didnt see it

Sly 05-04-2008 01:03 PM

I will definitely have to check this out. These reviews are great, I didn't expect much. I haven't been to the movies in quite awhile...

Guess that depends on the date. This thread is meaningless without pics.

:D

For those of you who aren't aware, this was the first movie solely produced by Marvel, not some company leasing the rights like Spidey, X-Men, FF, etc...

The good news about that is they can have their movies create the 'Marvel Universe'. Hulk is up next and I'm pretty sure we'll see Nick Fury in it leading up to an eventual Avengers movie, which is cool :)

mpulse2005 05-04-2008 01:13 PM

Great reviews...I have to go see this one for sure. :thumbsup

I just saw the trailer for Ironman and The Hulk. Both look pretty fun. Add Batman to the mix and we have a summer of comics... nice!

I didn't want to ruin it for people who hadn't seen it yet - but yes I stayed after the movie to see that scene :)

I meant, he'll also be in the Hulk movie I think, showing that characters will now start crossing-over since Marvel will produce all their own movies from here on out.

I was hoping it wasn't a run of the mill superhero flick, and I wasn't disappointed.

Good flick.

pornask 05-04-2008 02:30 PM

Why anyone would want to bring a date to a movie is completely beyond me.

zeruel 05-04-2008 03:22 PM

I think I might check it out as well...

Fantastic movie, rivals Spiderman... just depends which superhero you prefer more.

Special effects were some of the best I've ever seen. :thumbsup:thumbsup

Doesn't matter who invited who. The question still stands.
There's nothing you can do except maybe make out but you can do that at the bar where you can actually talk and get her liquored up.

nice reviews...glad I have a ticket for tonight :)

X37375787 05-04-2008 05:24 PM

Just saw it today, entirely brilliant and I'll sure go see it again!

DirtyProfits 05-04-2008 05:25 PM

I wouldn't call it a super great movie, it was good entertainment but far from being perfect. There are so many little things that could have been done better but well it's a typical Hollywood production made for the average people. Thus you can't expect more from it.

CyberHustler 05-04-2008 05:30 PM

I went to 42nd Street last night with the intentions of seeing it with the family, but then my wife's grandfather insisted we see "Young at Heart" :disgust

tony286 05-04-2008 05:36 PM

my parents saw it and loved it.
