Never thought I'll see Bosnia-Herzegovina on the 1st place of the most expensive places.

Odin 05-04-2008 03:02 AM

Soon you're going to have people running petrol from Venezuela to the US. 12 cents a gallon, damn.

dynastoned 05-04-2008 04:33 AM

weird i've seen that chart change at least 3 times since they put that up.

they had sierra leone at highest prices it was like $18.34 a gallon. wonder how they could have fucked that one up that much that its not even on the list anymore.

if I'm correct the income is also a bit higher as in the Netherlands..

i know the liquor is very expensive there

Project-Shadow 05-04-2008 08:44 AM

4. United Kingdom $8.38 .. hmm that's not right.
It's currently £1.10/$2.10 a litre for unleaded, and £1.20/$2.20 for diesel. x 4.55 = ~$9.50-10.00

We should be first damnit =_=

Lykos 05-04-2008 09:55 AM

your government doesn't subsidize the gas prices at the pump. and similar to alaska the profits are put into the local government. Lastly it takes allot more then $0.12 to get oil out of Canada. Last I heard, it's about $40 per barrel.

GetSCORECash 05-04-2008 02:40 PM

On a per capita basis, Americans use three times more oil than Europeans, he said. That means Americans are more exposed to rising gas prices than their counterparts across the Atlantic.
This is the biggest problem. I own four vehicles, and my wife and I are the only drivers. I drop all of them today to do one thing or another, but mainly I gaased each one. :(

You have 0 bargaining power and I'm pretty sure we refine your oil for you and sell it to you.

Ummmm no... there are oil companies from a few different countries that refine our oil along with our own and then we sell it to you and whoever else that wants to buy it. As a matter of fact 40% of YOUR oil is purchased FROM US so I really don't know what glue you're sniffing.

More over unless you're dealing with a country who has their oil extraction and sales under a nationalized program you're NOT buying from a country but rather a corporation that been allowed to operate inside said country.

I guess that's mostly because of insane taxes but also because they(and the Netherlands for example) don't buy oil in as big amounts as other countries. Less people means less cars means less bulk means higher price.

That's my take on it anyway.

Bingo !!! its the same here in California, they are saying gas will reach $3.50 a gallon by June. Well we fucking passed that price 4 weeks ago and its now hovering around $4.25 on average. Costco charge $3.80 and a gas station in Del Mar is charging $4.99 today. Fucking people who do these charts dont have a clue !!

Wow I never thought I would read that about Venezuela. Most people that I“ve talked to that visit Venezuela say we are very friendly people. And the obligatory comment about the women :1orglaugh

Things have gone to shit lately, largely due to politics, but I wouldn“t say the country is full of nasty people.
