AIR card those that travel?
which service works the best in the most locations?
and best pricing? I am looking for the best wireless internet service based on traveling anywhere south america, thailand, africa, taiwan, canada, europe , anywhere. |
and here I was about to tell you to get sprint SERO and a pda phone + pdanet... guess that won't work for ya LOL
|
I use Verizon for here in the states and Vodafone for EU.
Vodafone is kind of pricey, but it beats dialup (kind of). |

Roaming on an aircard is really expensive, i use an aircard here in the Phils and using it in EU for 3 days and not even much was way way over priced, more than what i would pay for hotel internet services.

Ok so aircard is too expensive to make sense of
I will look into that one verizon is well liked If I was traveling out to other countries would verizon makes sense it guess it's important it work well and one that's kind of fast |
dont get the ATT one , i bought it and used it and it blows ass
the Verizon one is the best one from what people tell me |

Verizon does not work in EU and while I think T-Mobile does, I could buy a small country for the amount they charge (done by the Kbit, email alone would have been killer). |
Get one with a removable SIM card. AT&T sells them. I have tried Verizon, Sprint and AT&T and AT&T has had the best reception everywhere I go. Verizon had no reception at home. Sprint & Verizon won't work overseas.

you'll have more luck sticking with something cheap locally here in the states and when you go to europe just search for a coffee house or something with wifi.
I pay $23/mnth with my sprint sero plan and have unlimited text, data(internet), nights/weekends and talking to other sprint users along with 500 anytime minutes and 6PM nights/weekends. I've travelled mainly on the east coast but with sprint anytime you're near a freeway you'll get pretty decent coverage. Be picky about your phone though because my moto Q gets way slower download speeds than my wifes mogul. I don't talk on the phone much but I send quite a few text messages and surf the internet ALL the time so my small plan works great for me. My wife has the same setup as mine so between us we have 1k minutes. While at home we have VOIP so minutes really aren't a problem. I've installed Skype on her mogul and it works alright most of the time which uses the internet on her phone to handle talking so if she uses up a bunch of her minutes I just have her use that. You'll easily pay over $30/mnth for just data alone so if you don't like sprint for talking on you might want to pickup a phone just for data whoreing and backup minutes, my father in law does that with a sprint phone I setup for him. |
