Someone just received 3 months in charge backs
 

...When I was going over my monthly CC statement I saw a charge on there from ccbilling.com for $9.99. The only thing that I use my CC for is to pay for my hosts and to buy an occasional piece of software. I called my CC company and they informed me that it had been on my statement for the past three months. I asked what it was supposed to be for and they could not tell by the description but agreed to do a charge back to the merchant account that it came from. It pays to go over your statements carefully people.

Wow so you jump to the idea that somehow its a fraudulent charge at a mind numbing 9.99 using your card. You would think that if someone wanted to rip you off they would at least hit a higher billing site eh?

PS, there are no merchant accounts in ccbill that it came from. CCbill is a third party processor. They have the merchant accounts.

Ahh...I did not buy any software that has a recurring payment...in addition did I not say that it was charged back to the merchant account that it came from...thank you very much.

Actually they use small charges like this from a variety of sources, like $4.50 to Bills Bait
Shop etc. Large amounts get noticed.

That charge is a result of a new policy GFY institued in January. If you are not involved in the adult industry and have over 10k posts you will now incur a 9.99 monthly charge. Playboy has said that they are tired of paying the bandwidth on those who don't belong here.

I know that it is a bad practice but I normally do not go over any of my monthly statements...but I occasionally do...and that is why I caught the charge today.
