Screw tube sites, what if internet companies start charging to download only so much
Think it about, that would kill this industry faster than anything. Tons of people make money off of video content online, if you could only browse so much people would get charged overage fees and they will be scared to browse.

Time Warner was talking about this awhile ago
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...012903205.html I remember even getting something via snail mail from TW about I have a certain limit of transfer I can't exceed in 30 days.. Never heard anything else about that and I'm sure I exceed it.. I was nervous for a minute tho ;p |
Australian ISP's have been raping people with overage charges and having horrific download caps since Al Gore let us have access to his intraweb.
Speed is like an LA Freeway at 5pm on a Friday at the best of times also. 2c |
I hear ya Curious.
I had Telstra Cable installed when it came out. It was 100MB month limit. Excess downloads were $0.25 per MB. That's $250 per GB (this was 1997). Now days it's a little better, I have 40GB per month for $89. |
Wtfetn, but we don't have caps in cali, do we? I don't.
