Why do realtors have terrible pictures?

Is this some kind of law to level the playing field? LOL.

It's always the 80s big hair.

its because they're obviously too lazy to work a real job so they usually don't take care of themselves properly.

especially these days LMAO there's no money in being a realtor!

That is soooo true!!!!!!!!!

True
In the UK they have pages of info and always around a dozen high quality images. Over here they charge a fortune and work as little as possible. Im so happy that they are mostly out of work now :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I'm sorry . . . what makes you think they aren't trying to look their best???

I would argue that they absolutely look their best in their photographs, but because they are starting with hideous . . . . . ugly just looks funny.

Remember that everything is relative!

What is the housing market like in your area now...for a typical 3 bedroom...two bath...two car garage...in a nice neighborhood?

shit can find them around $100k..

When I was wanting to sell my house I probably could have if it weren't for factoring in the realtor wanting so much for doing absolutely nothing other than posting a listing and putting a sign up...

IllTestYourGirls 05-09-2008 05:43 PM

It is harder than you think tricking people into signing for loans they can not afford.

So you decided not to sell your house at a fair price just because somebody else would be getting a cut?

Wow.

Wow.

I was directing my question to you...as I know a person that is moving into your area in a month or so and will be looking to buy.

Wow.

when you factor in the mortgage payoff and 6% to the realtor I would have had to PAY too much to close so I said fuck it I just won't move.

With the way the market has dropped even people like me who put 20% down can't get out of their houses without paying when the market has dropped a good 20% or more on the value of houses nationwide then factor in ~6% to a realtor many of us are better off just staying where we're at.

my point is that on a $200k house the realtor gets $12k for what 6 hours of work? the one I had was HORRIBLE, they would call me that day and tell me I have a showing scheduled for this afternoon... did that to me 3 times!

Ryan St. Germain 05-09-2008 06:16 PM

I'm of the opinion that it's all a diversionary tactic. it's hard to imagine someone that ridiculous being able to pull the wool over your eyes. It's all a clever ruse to get you to trust them...

#1. They work a lot cheaper than I do.
#2. Six hours of work? How did you hit upon that number?
#3. Pretty sure that realtor has to split his commission with another realtor as well as with the realty company they work for.

markz08 05-09-2008 07:20 PM

its there style...maybe its their way of saying i am a REALTOR...hehehe

realtors also take a chance at doing the work for nothing. i get 2% of the 6% if i sell a property, most realtors only get 1.5% after splitting the 3% with their broker.
