7.8 Earthquake reported in China, 7,000 now reported dead.

Just read about this seems really bad. 900+ students were reported buried under a collapsed school:(:(

Count is up to almost 9K dead now. Very Sad news :(

Not good to be a Chinese citizen at anytime IMO.

What's Bush done now? :(

They still have not reached the epicenter in the city where 112000 people live.

I am sure the death toll will be enormous.

Really sucks for them, and this was a major industrial center too. With the stock market already down, and the rice/corn etc prices way up, this will be China's worst year in a while.

It's really catastrophic, 80% of all buildings collapsed in entire counties and stuff like that.

Wow 7.9 is a beast of a quake.

that side of the globe is getting hit hardcore :( the cyclone in burma last week killing more than 22k and count still rising and now this. so very sad

Probably a safe bet that it will.

I hope they did not use too much lead in the construction of their stuff.

i think the building in the city as safe, cos they are built according to code, country side , no so good

And I thought the Northridge 7.4 Quake here in So Cal was bad... 7.9... Wow!!! I will definitely say a prayer for those people.
