Snake Doctor 05-14-2008 10:40 AM

But how the fuck?I tracking prices in hosting industry all the time since i offering hosting too.I just checked two hosts which offer 10tb bandwith for only 150$ and they are cheapest howmuch i know. But their price for 100 mb of bandwith is 2000$ which is 2x more then this.Unless this is offer for 95th percentile or burstable bandwith which means it's not real bandwith offer.

Andy Servers4Less 05-14-2008 02:54 PM

These prices are 100% true. If you get 100 Mbps unmetered (capped) you can utilize the full 100 Mbps (same with 250 mbps, 500 Mbps. etc.) The way we can offer this pricing is that we have customers who are using a lot of bandwidth, therefore we can pass the price breaks we get from the Bandwidth providers directly on to new and existing customers :)

marketsmart 05-14-2008 02:57 PM

great prices andy...

Klen 05-14-2008 03:00 PM

This still dont have sense.Usualy web companys which offer discount give link with altered price.

interesting options for Montreal as well :thumbsup

TheSenator 05-15-2008 05:01 PM

If it is too good to be true.....then its not...I need testimonials.

I use 50mbps unmetered on P4 2.7, 6GB of ram and a lot of storage for about 800.00 and fully managed.

NETBilling-Andy 05-15-2008 06:11 PM

TheSenator - I can offer you a better deal on your 50Mbps - and that would be with us at CaveCreek in our space at the Level3 datacenter in Phoenix fully managed with premium blended bandwidth (our top stuff). and we can mix in CDN delivery as well if you want to try that out. If you're interested - shoot me an email at andy @ cavecreek.net

thanks

ladida 05-15-2008 06:18 PM

I thougth they're ch0pa under a diff name, or a reseller of some sort, but sounds just like a siste company, and ch0pa has some serious bandwidth at their disposal.

they are chOpa .. as for " dedicated " connection, you should take in perspective that people order more then they can use ; so they ( and most other hosts ) can oversell the connection by limiting your access. So a 100 mbps can serve 12 - 13 dedicated 10 mbps connection ...

These guys maybe manage better their overselling then others... :thumbsup to them for that.

jpoker 05-15-2008 07:16 PM

I have a few of the 100 Mbps boxes and they are exactly as stated.

cheers

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to hosting and bandwidth prices. You should really stop posting before you embarrass yourself further.

I have no connection to the thread starter, but if you think $2000 for 100mbits is a "great deal" and you think that 95th percentile and burstable bandwidth aren't "real bandwidth offers" then you are in serious need of some hosting education.

Iron Fist 05-15-2008 07:32 PM

Now this thread is getting interesting :)

Andy Servers4Less 05-16-2008 09:19 AM

Just a little refresher for some more biz :) Thanks to everyone who has contacted so far. Any other questions let me know.

Bullet 05-16-2008 11:58 AM

directfiesta is right. simple overselling.

Thanks Jpoker.

You will have this line of Bandwidth Dedicated, not shared in any way. It is not oversold. We have a significant amount of Tier1 Bandwidth in our network, and we can pass the pricing breaks on to new customers.

That is really what these deals are.

Thanks,

xxxdesign-net 05-16-2008 03:33 PM

how fast are you servers? download speed for someone on high speed internet...

RayBonga 05-16-2008 04:42 PM

Impressive prices, will definitevily consider you guys if I need to upgrade (25mpbs is enough for now :winkwink:)

if your going to shit in someone's thread why not post some prices ?

i havent seen anyone from CaveCreek ever post a price just the same old hit me up for a quote.

Doctor Dre 05-17-2008 09:03 AM

Great prices... This is not in the same price range we're used to see... That kinda scares me from trying out your services, there is so much at stake when you're stuck with a bad host.
