Yep, grunting is bad. Some people full on scream while doing the reps. Weirdos.

Today I was next to a guy that had some type of belching issue. Every 20-30 secs he let out a huge burp. I believe he had some type of chronic issue, but still, if I had something that peculiar I'd just stay home forever.

I grunt when doing deadlifts and squats when I'm nearing failure. It's pretty goddamed hard NOT to make any noise. Your legs are screaming at you, and your heart feels like it's going to explode out of your chest aliens-style and punch you in the face :1orglaugh
