How Much Do Paparazzi Make?
 

I'm one and I only make $1500-$1800 a month max. Don't believe what you here on TV no one makes allot of money doing this shit. I wouldn't be here if i did make good money shooting celebs. I make on ave $20 for every picture i sell. TV only pays me a few bucks a pic. No union too much competition.

ive always wanted to follow a random non famous person for a week taking pics and what not, jsut for fun... and when i get reported i would say.. i thought it was <insert celeb name here>

The guy that took that picture is on salary which is $100 no bonus. So he just got his $100 daily rate. X17 got the images and made millions on it. Also getting a picture like that is less likely than winning the lottery.

All depends on how lucky you get, I guess. Like mentioned above. I bet the guy who sold the bald Britney pic made some real cash.

Now days the real great "paparazzi" shots are staged by the stars agent and marketing team.

Yes and the only two people that make the money in that situation are a the celeb and b the agency. They always send out salary guys for those shoots.

Sorta gives one a yen for the fake news of yesteryear.

I heard that Adnan Ghalib was making 200k even before he hooked up with Brit. I think he worked for Finalpixx and JFK Online... apparently jfx was started by a bunch of filipino ex gangstas. there's a lot of gangsta thuggish papparazi around.

i used to watch all the latest vids on splashnews.com for entertainment but they password protected it now so guests can't browse anymore...

Then whats up with people getting 100k for a single shot...

I guess its just what you shoot. If you had a clear picture of two actors making out at a club.. I'd imagine that would bring in 50k

That's all BS no one makes that. Over a period of several years on the royalty's you might make a few hundred or a few 1000's at very best.

One thing I have learned about Hollywood, Don't believe any of the numbers or reviews.

The paparazzi at the top make insane money but the rank and file knuckledraggers you see on TV don't make much. I see them all the time stalking stars and they suck at it.

People always think someone else is pulling in an unfair amount more dough than they are.

There is the desire, if someone views a job as morally questionable to believe it makes crazy bank i.e. all the people who think smut slangers and paparazzi are all rich.

btw really lucky paparazzi really can make millions. but these who shoot planned scenes, weddings and so on really suck

I was thinking about that. I do kind of do my own thing I have connections with allot of people who buy my good stuff for cash upfront.

so you dont have the motivation is the real answer? considering you could make at least a couple hundred grand a year vs your $24k now, i would take the plunge.... its not like you'd have to stop what you are doing now anyways ... build it on the side and stay anonymous until it starts taking off, then start pumping it harder and get more scandalous exclusive shots just for your site

Most paparazzi have at least $10k of photo-gear around their neck. Sometimes as much as $30k only counting lesses I recognise. I doubt those guys are only making $2000/month or they simply couldn't break even.

Most of those guys you see with those cameras don't own them the agency provides the equipment. I will be honest yes you can make allot of money it's just much harder now then it was before because of all the new paps. Ive had my good months and some really bad months where i made like $500 in sales. I may sale a picture for $800 and only sell one picture that week or for almost 2 weeks. I'm still learning the business and just like the porn business it takes allot of time and hard work.
