Worst movie sequel of all time?

With the latest Indian Jones on the way it brings other sequels to mind. What is the worst movie sequel of all time? I am going to throw Grease 2 into the ring to start.

MistressNirvana 05-19-2008 03:54 AM

Titanic !!!!

Vendot 05-19-2008 03:59 AM

There was a Titanic part 2 ????? Ive never heard of it......

Anyhow, I would list:

Speed 2: Cruise Control

Superman IV

Can't think of others right now....

It must have sunk fast (pun intended)

Zorgman 05-19-2008 04:31 AM

Rambo movies apart from #1.

Any of the "scary movie #" movies.

Mad Max apart from #1

Preditor 2 sucked

RoboCop 2 and onword

Most sequel movies suck as their normally not directed by the same director.

u-Bob 05-19-2008 04:36 AM

Speed 2.
Legally blonde 2.
Karate kid 2.

SirMoby 05-19-2008 05:21 AM

Caddy Shack

Anything after Saw I.

GPS 05-19-2008 05:32 AM

The Road Warrior is one of the best sequels ever.

I even liked Beyond Thunderdome, but I can understand how people might not have liked that one. But I think most people feel the Road Warrior was the best of the trilogy.

Not really a sequel, more of a remake.

However Halloween 3 and just about everyone after that were garbage.

NY Jester 05-19-2008 07:39 AM

Lake Placid 2 - I mean the first one sucked ass...there was never a need for a part 2, I mean there is only so much ass LOL

Id say the Jaws movies after Jaws 2 - they were just grasping at straws

Same for the Friday the 13th series, I & 2 were all that was needed

Godfather 3 - the story line was totally out in left field and forget the fact that Sonny's illegitimate son from the bathroom bang during the wedding would NEVER have been head of the family...

ultimatebbwdotcom 05-19-2008 08:21 AM

Martrix 2 and 3
Alien 3
Diehard 2
Batman sequels
Fly 2

SykkBoy 05-19-2008 08:23 AM

The Howling 2

mona 05-19-2008 08:34 AM

Jurassic Park 2

BuggyG 05-19-2008 08:37 AM

umm.. everyone is forgetting the Star Wars movies
ok they were pre-quels. But you all know what I mean

Eric 05-19-2008 08:37 AM

I can't believe no one has said

Starship Trooper 2

Talk about fall from grace!

blackangel03 05-19-2008 08:45 AM

Come off it........ Alien 3 was not much worse than mediocre and some people would argue that Die hard 2 was as good as if not better than Die hard 3.

Neither of those fall into "worst movie sequel of all time" category.

stickyfingerz 05-19-2008 09:36 AM

Cruel Intentions 2? But I actually liked it hehe.

The idea behind alien3 wasn't terrible, the execution was incredibly poor though - I can't stand hammy acting which most of the less famous prison population reveled in. Add the awful cgi and its pretty pitiful.

Die hard 2 when compared to the first one is dire. The story was dull, Sadler wasn't believable or effective as a villain and compared to the first it seem incredibly lack luster and low budget.

You don't have to agree lol but for the films i've watched these do actually fall into some of the worst sequels compared to what one might have expected from earlier offerings.

ARGH! Never knew there was a sequel and it sure must stink...

Lee 05-19-2008 10:14 AM

Police Academy, the first one was enjoyable (as a kid), the second was crap but watchable, but by the time they got down to 5 or 6 or whatever it was, you were on the verge of gouging your eyes out.

ok someone said Karate Kid 2, what about "the next karate kid" that piece of shit Hilary Swank.

What about Jason Bateman as Teen Wolf 2?

Speed 2 anyone?

I'd have to say Weekend at Bernie's was pretty bad, but what about Weekend at Bernie's 2?

Blue Brothers 2000 was kind of insulting to the first...

One of my favs just for the title was Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood...

Basic Instinct 2 :(

MTCCash Tim 05-19-2008 11:49 AM

all the new American Pie movies that keep coming out and going str8 to video...

SykkBoy 05-19-2008 11:52 AM

There have been a lot of sequels that haven't lived up to their originals and I'm not counting sequels to movies that aren't my type or I didn't really care for the original

I still stand by The Howling 2 as being worst ever, but will also toss in Robocop 3....oh man, what a stinking pile of film poop that was...

Horny Alf 05-19-2008 02:04 PM

Spider Man 3!!

I will vote for Donnie Darko 2 in preperation for when the idiots release it. What a stupid idea.

aico 05-19-2008 05:01 PM

not sure if it's out yet, but, Lost Boys 2 looks awful.

DollarKing 05-19-2008 05:13 PM

On the subject of remakes not content with flogging a dead horse with halloween sequels they remake the first basically mediocre but if they still make money they still keep making crap whatever and thats business. 'Cloverfield' and 'diary of the dead' i hate this cam look style film making. I think in the 80s talking about the horror genre they managed to get a real feel to the films and i would recommend 'day of the dead' not the remake. The days i would get excited over new film releases are long gone and i doubt i will ever frequent a theatre ever again. Anybody ever seen 'Terrovision'?

i personally hated kill bill vol2

blues brothers 2000 also sucked

Dvae 05-19-2008 05:31 PM

Home Alone 3
Back to the Future 3
Both unwatchable

D Ghost 05-19-2008 05:42 PM

Too many to list

HowlingWulf 05-19-2008 05:54 PM

What? Nobody mentioned Highlander 2!!!!

"...this sequel to the cult classic sci-fi action film largely discards the original's premise. Instead of being mysterious immortal swordsmen, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) and Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobo Ramirez (Sean Connery) are revealed to be long-lived aliens. Reunited, the pair now battle an evil corporate cartel bent on dominating an ozone-depleted Earth's dwindling natural resources."

Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd

GrouchyAdmin 05-19-2008 06:04 PM

Almost everyone of them. Except the 'Naked Gun' films.

What? no way. all the kill bill movies were awesome.

The direct to video Dusk Till Dawn remakes were pretty stupid too. I think there was a couple of them.
