Boxed scripts are great and all but if you want to take it to the next level why would you just do what 1,000 others are doing?

"tube site" comes from the original, YouTube.com. YouTube.com is built on and supported by user uploads. Logically then, TEVS, which specifically DOES NOT support uploads is not a tube site.

What you're selling there is a fancy front end for a tgp. Please be honest.

No ETA for v1.1. I am working on it, but I have 3 full A4 pages of suggestions to add. It's taking time to add them all.

I would rather do BIG updates rather then once a week updates. I think that would drive most webmasters mad.

90% of the new stuff will only change the admin area. The way you add, edit and import. Easyer nav in the admin. So many more options for sponsors, channels and videos.

Really, v1.1 is going to be packed with so much stuff.

TEVS does look like a good script, but it's MORE like a fancy TGP than a tube. Tube sites allow user uploads, period.

What TEVS _mostly_ seems to do, is import clips from hosted galleries and display them in an embedded player. How is that any different than a damned tgp? It isn't.

I did something different with mine, sponsors gave me free hosting to cut up members area clips to 60-90s seconds, that way it was more custom, I never used the fhg functions.

Yeah we are going that route now too. The sponsor Add Ons were helpful for getting a lot of filler content in place and now we are focusing on more unique material.

Don't get me wrong, I think TEVs is probably a good script, as good as script as any anyway. People seem to like it anyway. It's just not really a tube model.

There is such a thing as a legal tube, and they of course take uploads. Snizzshare would be a good example of one. :2 cents:

The reason why TEVS doesn't allow uploads is because of the loophole in the law that allows theifs to upload stolen content and blame it on a unknown "surfer".

TEVS is a great script, no doubt about it. simple yet powerful. very easy to use and if you're somewhat familiar with php, you can fumble through a design integration or pay that ninja konrad.
