Pollack acted in numerous films, including in his own movies, and yes, he was in "Eyes Wide Shut".

Here is a picture of Pollack with Tom Cruise, and the Director of "Eyes Wide Shut", Stanley Kubrick:

I didn't realize that Sydney Pollack was a Producer for "Michael Clayton", "Cold Mountain", "The Talented Mr. Ripley", "Sense and Sensibility", "Searching for Bobby Fischer", and "The Fabulous Baker Boys", all of which I consider to be terrific films (in addition to the aforementioned films which he directed).

Wow! Remind me to lay a big hug on you when you come to San Francisco in a few weeks...

Very talented director and producer.

My favorite movie of his (as a director) was Jeremiah Johnson. Robert Redford was amazing in that movie.

Paper_Amar 05-27-2008 09:07 AM

loved his movies... RIP

Sid70 05-27-2008 09:30 AM

It seems like we started to loose OUR people, people who made things for us, people who made us, helped us see the world. It makes us grown up kids for now, it's our moment to share and give. He'll be missed. Rest in piece.

P.S.: Average GFY dude 30+, do you feel you are getting older?
