REQ: newzbin invite
 

if anybodies a member there would you mind sending an invite to [email protected] I've been pulling my daily tv shows off of newsgroups for a while and I'm wanting to switch to using ninan instead of newsbin for my tv/movie download and its centered around nzb files.

isnt newzbin a pay service?

it is BUT its a small fee to pay to be able to search through listings and find exactly what you want quickly.

Thanks to giganews all of my downloads use every last ounce of my available bandwidth. screw torrents, I'm sick of having a ton of ports open just to barely download anything or have it take DAYS to come through.

I have 8Mb downloads and I use every last bit of that. for keeping up to date with alt.binaries.tv newsbin works fine BUT what I'm using now is ninan on my linux box which is also setup as a web server so now my whole network can quickly add things to the download list so I don't have to sit in 1 place to do it. If I'm naked in bed with my laptop and can handle all the downloads without ever getting up. (limited speed and storage of the laptop makes downloading from that not so fun)

then with some mapped network drives its the same as having those things on whatever system I decide to use.

I've used binsearch for a while but its worthless compared to newzbin and my only other alternative is to download ALL the headers myself constantly but that just drains too much. Giganews accelerator helps snag headers quicker but just doesn't help THAT much ;)
