Dumb Business Question. AVI or MP4
 

I'm zipping up some clips to my member area.

Would you have them as AVIs or MP4's?

and yeah, i kinda promote them as ipod-ready (about 10 minute clips at 60mb each).

If iPod is your promo then MP4s.........I personally prefer AVI.........

avi and mp4 are two completely different formats, one is for ipod, the other is for computer screen, seems like a weird either/or to ask

+ avi is a audio/video container and can have whatever inside divx/xvid/mpeg1/etc. for video and mp3/ac3/etc. for audio.

yes, but you can't put a avi on an ipod, it will convert it to mp4

avi does playback good on a windows platform but how about mac users? i think their are stuttering issues. i guess two formats would be better :)

Mp4's are not just for ipods folks.

.mp4 is the new standard for all video.
