Rodent 06-02-2008 11:01 AM

I don't get the appeal of this thing, yet everyone I know with a wii wants one.

ChadZilla 06-02-2008 11:04 AM

Wonder if they will put out Call of Duty 4 for the Wii ... Now that would be some fun shit. But you may need a bigger living room.

Karupted Charles 06-02-2008 11:06 AM

I got on when it came out and I really need it. It s a great way to get motivated to do something active that does not feel like a chore. My goal is 25lbs by the September Atlanta show.

payd2purv 06-02-2008 11:09 AM

Is the Wii Fit actually being taken seriously as a way to get exercise?

I got mine last week (or the week before). I couldn't get it to sync and my ADD kicked in and I've been using the treadmill. I really need to spend some time to get the Fit working........

Let me know how that wii fit works out for you. I was thinking about getting one myself.

cleopatra0628 06-02-2008 11:25 AM

congrats to your new wii. :)

videodoll 06-02-2008 11:32 AM

I told u guys, I got one the day it came out. It is fun and can work your muscles but there is no comprehensive "Work out". It's just a bunch of little exercise, no way to tie them together. I was actually a little bit upset with the lack of a true workout program or a workout creator - it needs something where you can tie the exercises together to make a routine. I Hope they come out with this soon.

I weigh 114 and my goal weight is 110. It seems to be based on people who want to lose weight. I just want to be fit. I eat egg mcmuffins and cheese everyday... I think this will help me to tone up a bit but I don't think it would be too helpful in losing a large amount of weight.

I like ski jumping and down hill skiing too.

I got 324 in the jump so far.

well, power wise they would have to severely downgrade what COD4 is now. It would look nothing like what it does on the xbox 360 or the PS3. May be just as fun, but with a game like that the visuals are an important thing.

as for the waving to the mii's, well she's a woman so it's normal. Now if a man does that we have problems. lol

Yes!

I know a few fat asses who are all so excited now that they are "gonna lose X amount of weight" because of the this.

If they were so desperate to lose weight, why didn't they get up and go out a fucking run or hit the gym or something ?!?!?!?

no

Plus a Wii is only 480p.

Magalie 06-03-2008 09:47 AM

Its awesome, I got mine the day it came out and been doing it every damn day !
When I went to the gym, I never went everyday, so thats an improvement right there.

The more time you spend on your Wii Fit, the more repetitions and new exercises you'll unlock. I mainly wanna be fit, not loose weight but it's really fun. So I get all the excitement around it.

As someone else said, it's lacking a couple things. Like, I would really like to be able to select a part of my body that I wanna work out and punch in the time I wanna spend or have the machine select an x ammount of execises to do. Then you could switch body parts every day or something like that. That would be the best 'cause now, you have to select one exercise at a time and it just takes too long imo.

Still, when you do it a lot, it becomes quite difficult and I already can see that im fitter than before. :)

Gotta LOVE my Wii Fit ! :)

cause people like that are just lame and wont achieve anything, they're spur of the moment people, all about diets and fads, that refuse to just do some work to achieve a goal. its the same as when people have to buy treadmills or running shoes... i have to laugh cause i just put on regular sneakers and go run ( i know some people have knee problems not talking about them )

i remember watching some show about obesity (and it was a more or less serious show) and this girl thats like 300 lb's is sitting in a diner, with a plate of pasta that would likely last me an entire week, looks at the camera all sad and totally serious says i just cant understand why i cant loose this weight... :upsidedow
