What is the most important sporting event of the year to you?

It is nearly Wimbledon time here (as they rain is proving) and every year it amazes me how many people really do wait for it all year. What is the most important sporting event of the year to you? Superbowl, World Series, FA Cup, Wimbledon or something else?

The Duck 06-03-2008 03:20 AM

The european football cup next to the olympic games.

Bike 06-03-2008 03:26 AM

Monaco F1 is the only "sport game" I don't wanna miss. I don't even watch the full F1 season, only Monaco and a few others :)

C_U_Next_Tuesday 06-03-2008 03:29 AM

I have never really been able to sit and watch any sports , I prefer to not be sitting watching someone else do something physical when I could be physical myself.

goldflower 06-03-2008 04:04 AM

For me next UFC :) and rematch Oscar De La Hoya vs Mayweather :thumbsup

Tuga 06-03-2008 04:04 AM

The Euro 2008 of course.

Wilbo 06-03-2008 04:08 AM

The Tour De France and then the Superbowl.

Jace 06-03-2008 04:10 AM

absolutely nothing, i hate sports

closest I get is probably xgames, but I rarely watch that

Bake 06-03-2008 04:23 AM

Moto GP all season

Ashley023 06-03-2008 04:25 AM

Olympic Games of course

LauraLee 06-03-2008 04:29 AM

The NFL divisional playoffs (because those games always seems to prove better matchups/competition) and the Superbowl.

God I can't wait.

Should see the silly adverts the BBC are running for it where they are trying to get people to say who they are going to support since England isn't in it. They come across as 'please watch it anyway'.

I moved to the UK in 1996 the week before Euro '96 kicked off in the UK. That was a real cultural learning experience especially during the England vs Scotland game!

A lot of it will be on while I am getting married but still should catch most of it. I love knock out events and especially football ones.

Every UFC, WEC, DREAMS, and now AFFLICTION MMA Card on TV.

G.A.F 06-03-2008 06:15 AM

FIFA World Cup. But that's every 4 years.
I like sports in general but not a fan of any in particular. Like to watch Moto GP and some football (soccer) matches. If Barça plays, it's ok, otherwise, I'm not very interested. :upsidedow

Spunky 06-03-2008 06:16 AM

Stanley Cup,Grey Cup,Super Bowl

Methodcash Rick 06-03-2008 06:17 AM

The entire F1 season..

I try to make it to 4 or 5 races a year, so it's always a let down when the season ends.

v4 media 06-03-2008 06:21 AM

World cup and euro's when on.
moto GP is probably the only thing I make sure I don't miss, and the only event I go to yearly is the Valencia GP in October.

Bdiddy 06-03-2008 06:39 AM

Top 3 are:

March Madness
World Series
WC

Lycanthrope 06-03-2008 09:06 AM

I wouldn't say that any of them are important to me, except maybe the Super Bowl when The Packers are in it.

NBA Finals are a can't miss. This year, it's going to be epic. Boston Celtics v. LA Lakers :thumbsup

Porno Dan 06-03-2008 11:53 AM

It really depends on who makes the finals that year.

If my Cubs ever make the World Series that would be the greatest sporting event in my life.

needlive 06-03-2008 11:59 AM

When I go out jogging. It's unbelievable.
