1. McCain came on stage to give a speech to define his version of change, and separate himself from Obama. He spoke in front of a huge green screen that the media has dubbed "the green monster". There were about 100 people in the audience...a couple cheering "go, john mccain". It was pathetic. None of his applause lines received applause. EVEN FOX NEWS was bashing the speech.
2. Obama timed his last Super Delegate endorsements to put him over the edge right in the middle of the McCain speech. Every major news network cut away from the rest of McCain's speech except for Fox News. Zinggggggg.
3. Clinton came on and didn't concede. In fact she made her case even more. Asked her supporters to write in and tell her what to do. They cheered "Denver, Denver" to which she just smiled and basked.
4. Obama came on in front of 20,000 people...with a reported 15,000 waiting outside (according to St. Paul Fire Marshalls). Lit up the fucking stage. Provided a GREAT CONTRAST to McCain and the green monster. Spoke to the U.S. (clinton spoke about herself, and mccain about Obama). Obama won the night by leaps and bounds (figuratively and literally).
