Time for a new car - Audi A4

I like the Audi A4's... I know some of you have it, thoughts?

SifuE 06-06-2008 01:16 PM

very nice car, cant go wrong with the newer ones

GrouchyAdmin 06-06-2008 01:17 PM

I didn't like the seats, they made my shoulders incredibly uncomfortable. I'm looking at a 9-3, but have yet to take one for a test drive.

BradM 06-06-2008 01:17 PM

I had one that was a lemon. I would not recommend the car.

If you have any one of the issues that the car is known for, you're going to hate it. I had 3.

Go with BMW.

Good luck. PS I had the A4 2.0t 2007

Mister E 06-06-2008 01:17 PM

get the Quatro, you will love the A 4, many will be critical here, be so advised, but you enjoy it.

what color/ colour??

The 9-3's are sweet.... I looked at the convertible a few yrs ago and ended up getting a TT (I know odd combo)

if uve got the money go for it !
i recently helped sell a 2006 model, and drove around it a few times...highly recommended
and the this years model is out of this world!

Poppy 06-06-2008 01:27 PM

I'm coming up to the end of my lease and loved it. 2004 A4 Quattro.

DirtyProfits 06-06-2008 02:00 PM

If an A4 then the Avant

C-Bass 06-06-2008 02:07 PM

I have a 2007 A4 with some bits and pieces..... love the car. Specially in the snow.

If you dont have a winter, dont bother with the Quattro - get yourself a nice convertible.

Young 06-06-2008 02:11 PM

cute car. i'd go A5 personally. otherwise g35 sedan.

make sure you get the 2009 model. I know they are out in europe, and should be in the states soon :2 cents:

videodoll 06-06-2008 02:19 PM

I have an 08 A4. I LOVE IT!!!

I looked at BMW and the insurance on that would have cost me over 100 more a month. My driving record blows... The 08 A4 actually cost me less to insure than my 05 Acura. The Quattro costs more to insure so if you don't need it, no point in paying more for it.

oh yeah, I looked at infinity too and insurance was too much...

I got the s-line package. I don't like the wheels on the ones without s-line.

Minte 06-06-2008 02:42 PM

Bought my daughter a new 6sp A4Quattro last fall, and so far she loves it. It's getting good gas mileage and proved to be an excellent winter car.

No mechanical problems or issues with it.

get a honda accord EX v6 loaded and bank the $$$$ JMO

LilBro 06-06-2008 03:06 PM

sorry my post got messed up...

get a honda accord EX v6 loaded and bank the $$$$ JMO. my EX had a 2006 A4 and had so many problems (electrical, power windows, door locks on passenger side, headlight burnt out after 2 months, engine light always came on) make a long story short, it wound up going to the dealer so many times that it qualified for NY lemon law and she got out of it.... HORRIBLE experience.

stickyfingerz 06-06-2008 03:10 PM

On looks alone I would go for the A5. Unless of course you must have a 4 door. :winkwink:

Link Hotten.

Funny you said that... I was just on Honda's site looking at the Accords, I like the price and style. My next car should be med priced cause it's not what I really want... I definitely need a safe sedan :2 cents:

i'm not a fan of the interior of the new audis. it seems too plasticy which really turned me off the a3 i was looking at. Just seems so cold and artificial

new accord is 5 star safety and honda = reliable. You can get a fully loaded v6 accord EX with leather sunroof etc... for less than an Audi A4 with a 4 cylinder...

new accord is nice!!! if you r single and cute, id definitely go for you if i saw u in an accord :winkwink:

PLUS its nice to bank the $$$

The 2008 V6 EX Accord with NAV will run you just over 30k (maybe less now as cars aren't exactly flying off the lot at any dealer). I have one that I drive most of the time. Excellent car. A good bit bigger than the A4. The 2008 is not even classified as a mid size car anymore (too big for the class). I'm 6'3", 220# and can sit in the back seat comfortably with the front seat all the way back. Super safe car. If you do not need the V6 you are probably look at least a few k under 30k for the car. The only thing they need to bring out is the new ipod kit so I can hook my ipod up and it will be everything I need for daily driving. Plus with the variable cylinders it can run on 3, 4 or 6 cylinders. Highway I get just over 30 mpg.

Reliability has been going up in Audis... finally. I'm waiting for them to bring diesels over here. When that happens I'll probably run to the dealership for a new quattro.

Rochard 06-06-2008 06:24 PM

Those are some damn good looking cars....

Boobs 06-06-2008 07:12 PM

I'm sure you will be happy with the A4. It's a beautiful car.

The A8 isn't bad either :)

I think I'm in love.

BVF 06-07-2008 02:14 PM

You already have an audi man....try something different...Maybe a Corvette..they hold value longer.

Marky333 06-08-2008 10:38 AM

Audi S4 ... yes ... nice car
Tho I'd go for a BMW if I were you :P

Major (Tom) 06-08-2008 12:39 PM

audi usually has the best leases, so any problems I would assume would be covered. I had a TT in 03 and the lease was great.
