I'm not even that good looking and it happens to me quite often... it happened at the grocery store last night in fact. Women are getting more and more aggressive these days. I'm not saying they are fine ass honeys... but mostly they are milfs... some single and some married. I am not exceptionally handsome, but if I was into MILFs I could get all the women I wanted. I used to go running by the beach here in Hollywood, FL and all the over 30 ladies would give me a big smile and try to talk to me if I was running with my shirt off. I think that any guy over thirty-five or so who is in pretty buff shape can get a lot of trim if he likes women his own age range since a lot of guys that age let themselves go. I'm pretty good looking, and I would say it happens once in a while. I categorize "hitting on me" as any time a girl goes out of her way to interact with me. That can be even the most innocuous interaction....girls always make the first move. When the guy thinks he's making the first move, the woman usually made him think that he's making the first move.
