Just in case anyone still believes humans are completely responsible for our planet's warming, you should know that our entire solar system is going through changes. Our solar system is approaching the galactic center (a supermassive black hole is at the center of the galaxy, which gives off a huge gravitational plane), and some scientists believe that is what is causing the changes. I have been following this closely lately and have plenty of scientific journal articles bookmarked if anyone is interested.

I also read a BBC article the other day that was explaining how the ice caps are actually starting to crack and break apart now. Some people are saying that the ocean levels could soon rise dramatically once the ice caps melt.

It's been close to 100 here this weekend and the humidity was almost as bad. With the heat factor, it was well over 100. Felt like you couldn't breath when you walked outside.

But I grew up in the Bay Area, and high 70's/low 80's in June in the City isn't really all that weird...

Is Elephant that sushi place? I am up for both. I just looked up the address today. Walking distance to the Buena Vista! I do believe I am going to be in heaven. Although I wish it was colder.

Looks like a great forecast for the CyberNet Expo, but all attendees would still be wise to pack a sweater/jacket as the nights can be quite chilly, especially if the wind is blowing...

I said six toes, not six toe nails - when dealing in freaks, why quibble?

Still pretty wild IMHO...No?

Fair enough, at least you actually brought some stats to the table.

The SF forecast for this week still doesn't seem that abnormal to me, but that's just my opinion from living in the area.

But I know for sure that the Earth, as well as the other planets in our solar system, are going through changes right now, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if San Francisco is truly experiencing these changes.

I believe that the ice caps are key, and that we all should be paying attention to what is happening to them... because places like San Francisco are the types of areas that will be affected by the melting water.

Dude, don't remind me of what could be, I am already pissed off about it.

MattO 06-09-2008 04:11 PM

Here in Austin I saw an old lady who was crossing the street catch on fire and burn the fuck up. It's hot.

TerryM 06-09-2008 04:12 PM

Yep it is finally starting to feel like summer in SF. It will cool down at night though for sure.

tical 06-09-2008 06:29 PM

that is a pretty long heat run for SF... 70s & 80s sometimes are normal out there... but its always 80s one day, then 50 and cloudy as shit the next or something

we'll see how accurate that forecast is, i doubt it will be that consistent out there

BSleazy 06-09-2008 06:36 PM

We've had some real bad storms here in mid Michigan this weekend like I've never seen before. Just got power back a few hours ago and haven't been able to get anything done the last few days because of it. It also seems to of been a lot hotter earlier this year but I'm not sure on that. I haven't looked at the yearly averages or anything.
