GeoAdultKiel 06-09-2008 12:35 PM

ahh shit... someone delete this thread... didn't see the other one..

candyflip 06-09-2008 12:36 PM

You should have been paying better attention. It's been pretty much a given that a new model would be coming and when.

Snake Doctor 06-09-2008 01:17 PM

That's a bummer for all you suckers who bought them when they first came out.

In another year they'll probably be $99 and you won't have to agree to the onerous 2 year AT&T contract either.

Brandon99 06-09-2008 01:25 PM

Wow. They better have some incentive for those who have the first gen. iphones. Maybe a trade-in incentive at least.

i heard if you trade in your first gen you get $200 of the second...

GeoAdultKiel 06-09-2008 01:27 PM

That's lame then you'd get one for free?

I don't see what the big deal about the price drop is, you knew it was going to happen, they were talking about it before the phone even went on sale. The cost of being an early adapter. Didn't they already compensate for the first price drop as well?

That would be a sweet deal if true but I'm sure it is just a rumor.

Looks like $30 a month for normal use and $45 for business plans. Not sure what the other carriers will charge.

payd2purv 06-09-2008 02:24 PM

$199 damn that's cheap.

better phone, better speed = more $$$ spent at the end of 2 year contract.

What is more, consumers will now pay $30 a month for unlimited data service from AT&T, compared to $20 under the plan introduced last year. So even though the phone will now cost $200, consumers will be out more cash at the end of a two-year contract compared to the previous deal.

flowereater 06-09-2008 03:15 PM

thats cheap
but i like it :)
must be disposable lol

Yeah you're spending more to get a faster connection I guess.

Just buy a new one and keep 1 as a spare.

farkedup 06-09-2008 04:15 PM

wait for them to change their contract in even the slightest way and you can cancel without ETF. I've done this like 6 times just to get new phones without waiting ;) in fact sprint just changed something in their contract so I'm thinking about cancelling my moto Q line BUT the new HTC phones aren't out yet so there's not a good enough phone to bother upgrading to. I'm not retarded so I won't pay a bunch to get the sprint mogul when the REPLACEMENT for that phone is only a month or so away...

You'd have to be living under a ROCK to not know these new iphones were hitting today.

camgirlshide 06-09-2008 05:33 PM

note to verizon: get with the program and add the iphone

note to camgirlshide: at&t has an exclusive contract with apple so no other carrier can get the iphone.

If they did then I would get one now... I liked the orginal iphone but knew this is exactly what apple would do. Its the same thing as the ipod when it came out...

Socks 06-09-2008 10:21 PM

It's days like this that make me seriously consider buying up all the remaining shares of apple corp.

GAMEFINEST 06-09-2008 11:18 PM

I might get one

i dont havea contract with them ...shit expired

payd2purv 06-09-2008 11:23 PM

I wonder if the $200 4 gig price is even without the plan..

It's the 8 gig for $200... and since AT&T is only doing in-store sales/sign-ups (no online sales), you'll have to re-up or sign up for a 2 year committment.

NETbilling 06-10-2008 12:33 AM

Apple rules... every product they make is amazing IMO

VeriSexy 06-11-2008 03:25 AM

But then you'll be stuck on a 3 year contract
