Let's go after this "Obscenity Prosecution Task Force"
People keep whining about how the religious right is organized and after us and how we're disorganised and easy targets and bla bla, for instance most recently in this thread
So let's get organized, and let's go after them, then. This task force is made out of people, who have property, and legal obligations, who have willingly put themselves, by their position and function, in the legitimate interest of the public, so let us find out if they have outstanding parking tickets, if they ever were divorced, if anyone ever cried rape against any one of them, if they were ever drunk, ever in a brawl, if they did pot ever in college, if Let's find out as much as we can, let's put it up on a website, let's, money permitting, start mailing things out to people, let us step on as many toes, and as painfully as possible. Let's chip a dime together, start a fund, elect some officers, and get the ball rolling. |
Honestly silly tactic.
If I really had my way I would set up an organization that really did what it should do and that is self regulate its members and use any money it can raise to not only lobby but to have a respectable, very articulate mouth piece to be hitting the news circuits every chance they could get whenever anything comes up about the industry. Specially when people often lump CP and porn together as one. Lobbying would not just take place in California either and nor would it be slanted towards the DVD companies. I would also like to see it develop a war chest to not just possibly help an attacked little guy but more so to be ready and on the ball to hit any unjust law or proposed measure with either a legal swarm in the same way the ACLU does. Then most importantly fee schedules would need to be fair and sane. Raising money should not be the be all of the organization and sending and disseminating information would be a high priority. There is no reason its members should need to run to a lawyer to understand each portion of the law when an organization could provide the basic info via a lawyers advice towards the whole. Then it is also very important to not have a bro atmosphere, specially if that could involve hypocrisy. I could go on and on but alas it is near pointless. Specially when organizing anything in this business is akin to herding cats and nearly everyone only cares about their own pocketbook and not so much about the industry as a whole. |
I'll get right on that.

It would be nice to do and it would also take alot of work, time and financial resources but I am sure that we could make a pretty significant impact if we were to all pull together to make a difference. However, I will always be a pornographer whether it is legal or illegal. Fuck those assholes.

Herding cats indeed.
So will you be an officer ASM ? |

Not gonna happen. :2 cents: Everyone go back to promoting AFF, nothing to see here. |

This industry may consistently fail at making money, but it will not blow an opportunity to grab for the spotlight. Or at least so I think. |
