Single Life or family Life.

I really like the family life better than the single life. I fuckin party way too much since I have been divorced and I'm kinda getting burnt out. I have been dating all these girls but just can't find the right one. Pussy is no problem, I can always get that... its the blockbuster nights, family trips, bbqs, taking my daughter out, etc... that I really really miss. I take my daughter to do a lot of crap but I admit its not the same, i get kind of sad when i see other families having fun together sometimes.

my main problem is all these girls I'm meeting don't have kids and whether its in my head or not I just see it as a burden to them.

Any words of wisdom guys and gals?

Any hope of working it out with the Ex?

StuartD 06-10-2008 09:35 AM

wait it out... one day you'll probably have grandchildren and then you can do the family life thing, spoil the kids rotten and best of all... send them home when you've had enough.
You'll get the best of both worlds.

Sounds like you are getting old... how old are you?

DaLord 06-10-2008 09:41 AM

Single life often seem better when you're living the family life, and the family life and often seem interesting when you live the single life.

Plus, if you have to ask yourself those kind of questions you know she's not the one :)

I prefer the family life. No matter how much money I've made in this business my better half has always been the same and kept my feet on the ground. Same goes when I manage to be a greedy asshole.

Mike :)

No, I wanted to at first but after more than a year of being divorced I just can't see it happening. She would have to make a huge effort to win me over again and show me she is not just around for my money.

This morning I woke up with a seven year old bundle of joy wrapped up in my arms. For the next hour we played in bed, tickled each other, and talked.

Nothing beats family life.

I see my father doing this. He loves my daughter to death and I think its a real treat for them to be able to give her back when they have had too much cause kids can be a pain in the you know what at times.

I love my family life and need it to balance everything else. I'm raising 2 kids alone and have a really hard time dating because single people don't seem to value the joy in family life. So I just keep going it alone expecting to be able to balance it out someday.

the grass is always greener on the other side,
be happy with what you have

although you may not have the "typical" family life, some people cannot even have a child of their own, and that should be enough for you to be happy.

everyone gets down and its hard to focus on the good things that surround us but im sure the majority of us are so insanely blessed yet we are all so blind to see it.

i do my best to stay positive and find happiness in the things around me, and try to focus as little time as possible focusing on the what ifs. what ifs are out of your hand no point in depressing over them.

SykkBoy 06-10-2008 12:16 PM

the family life

I love things like getting out on the golf course with my son or watching my 3 year old beat me at a game on the Wii....I wouldn't change it for the world.

Like you, I've been doing the dating thing and it's tough (especially with as many kids as I have ;-)). I either find someone who digs the kids, but not what I do for a living, or ones that have no issue with what I do for a living, but aren't really into kids (those types hit the curb pretty quickly).

Damn dude this is so funny to hear my exact thoughts come out of someone elses mouth. I admit sometimes I feel like the only guy in the world having this problem.

I love the single life.....but i've always been the kind to do whatever I want even if I am in a relationship......the only thing that seperates me is my career......i've gone to many weddings lately and of course I eventually want a family.....but it kinda makes me feel like im missing out since im more focused on my career....but i want to be financially stable to be able to have that family one day....in the small town I live in, it just makes me feel like the odd one out i guess. But im in no rush.

sniperwolf 06-10-2008 12:46 PM

Not yet ready on having my own family but yes family life (living with your family) could be better than living alone!

emac 06-10-2008 02:04 PM

Family life. I love my wife and my 3 months old baby boy.

When mine gets up its grumpy, and wants to do what ever it was we stopped him from doing the night before right before bed. This morning, it was giving the dog a treat. His first words this am was "akasha bone" Akasha is the dogs name.

And he also told his first bedtime story the other night.

" Un Dia ( One day ) Dinasorus Rex walked on the rocks. And there were many troncos ( tree trunks ) atras ( behind ). "

The Un Dia part is because he speaks both english and spanish.

Single and happy..don't think I'll ever get married

BlueDude 06-10-2008 05:10 PM

I like single life. I can't stand woman nagging

Brother Bilo 06-10-2008 06:14 PM

I'm venturing into the more family style life right now, it's still new to me. My single life was great and I don't reqret most things I did, but I was ready for the change.

Being single is tiring.

Kudles 06-10-2008 07:20 PM

I am seriously torn between the two
