All anyone cares about is results. If he produces results:
a) the fans won't care if he's an ass
b) the media can lick his nuts.. fuck the toronto media, Damien Cox.. Howard Berger.. Bob McCowan.. they're all bottom-feeding scum bags.. especially Cox. Toronto hockey writers are worthless whores.
Lots of hockey coaches rub people the wrong way.. but it doesn't matter. Hockey is a results business. He got fired because his team underachived in the playoffs too often and there was no reason to believe his message and style would produce a different result with the same team in the future. In the past, team he's coached have overachieved in the playoffs ('98 capitals).
This is a good move for the Leafs, I think the hiring of Ron Wilson is the first step in getting rid of the "country club" mentality this leafs team has gotten used to. They need disruptors in there to change the culture. |
