trade this whiny bitch so the Lakers can have a respectable team again. the team MINUS Kobe is still a playoff team. Send him to Chicago for the first overall pick, take the point guard + hell ANYBODY in the bulls lineup and you have a far more respectable team...

V_RocKs 06-13-2008 08:01 AM

6 shots made in an entire finals game.

Kobe should just shoot himself.

Celtics have been playing together ALL YEAR, Lakers just started this lineup 4 months ago, huge difference. Plus, the Lakers are missing some 7 foot, 265 lb center who was averaging 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks a game named Andrew Bynum...kinda important piece.

No one expected the Lakers to even get out of the first round this year much less finish best in the West, beat the defending champs in 5 games and reach the Finals. Boston just has a better team, thats ok. Boston can enjoy their brief success now because when Bynum and the rest of this team are back and playing together, Lakers are going to own the next 3-4 years :thumbsup

Umm, Lakers have won 3 championships in the last 8 years...what has YOUR team done? Unless they play in San Antonio, not a damn thing :)

A dominant big man=rings, its not just Shaq. Shaq=first round ass kicking for the Suns this year LMAO. Lakers will have their dominant big man back for next year so let the fun begin in Oct!! :thumbsup

notoldschool 06-13-2008 02:57 PM

Easy to say now that Shaq is older than dust.

QuaWee 06-13-2008 03:00 PM

lol, I knew Celtics were going to win this. I can't stand Kobe. I like how many are challenging the refs now when they have been making questionable calls long before the playoffs

Shaq was older than dirt and they hadn't played long enough together so they were just starting to figure out how to get things rolling together. That shaq trade was a HUGE mistake for the suns.

If Kobe wins another title anytime in the next 5 years it'll be ONLY from riding bigs (AGAIN) Bynum, Gasol and Odom are a very large frontcourt. If they win it next year Kobe will deserve absolutely no credit for it. In fact the other Lakers would then deserve credit for winning even WITH kobe. He just takes too much away from any TEAM.

Jordan never had a dominant big man so pretty much what you are saying is useless. But yet again thats jordan not choke boy kobe. Another reason never to compare the 2 ever again.

good point.

Birdman33 06-13-2008 03:32 PM

The LA lakers "next year" hahaha thats all i hear since shaq left.

IllTestYourGirls 06-13-2008 05:42 PM

I was never a MJ fan when he was playing I have become one after he stopped. No one has even come close to what he did. Kobe might be good enough to carry MJs jockstrap.

Spunky 06-13-2008 07:47 PM

There are several things here. First being Jordan's Bulls played in an even worse eastern conference than the current one. Go ahead and look. Aside from the Bulls, Knicks, Cavs and sometimes Hawks, every other team every single year was like a 30-35 win team. So basically the Bulls could sleepwalk thru the east finals at least until the finals and then they could turn it on for the Finals. You dont need a dominant big man in a conference full of semi retarded players and teams that would get spanked by a high school squad.

Kobe and the Lakers have had to play teams like the Spurs, Mavs, Suns, Blazers, Kings...all 55+ win teams that would have killed Jordan's Bulls. Duncan and Robinson against Luc Longley and Rodman?! LMAO Please, Spurs would have swept the Bulls, even letting Jordan score 50 a night. That Webber, Bibby, Peja Kings team of the early 2Ks would have torn the Bulls a new one too. Who did the Bulls play that even mattered in the east? Ehlo and the Cavs? Reggie and the Pacers? Decent teams but nowhere near the talent of the teams in the west from 2000 on.

So that comparison is retarded. Every other championship team aside from Jordan's Bulls had a dominant center.

LOL...nice try. How about defensive rules are a joke now. Its made to be a scorers league. The pistons defense in the 90's was WAY tougher than any eastern conference or western conference team now. Now you cant even touch a shooter without a whistle. Not even comparable.
