Saw Skid Row and Slaughter last night.....

Skid Row wasn't bad considering Sebastian Bach isnt their singer anymore.

stickyfingerz 06-13-2008 09:27 AM

How were Mark's pipes? I saw them in 92 I think. Slaughter that is. Skid Row I think I saw in 91. Ya not same Skid Row without Sebastian.. :Oh crap

WebairGerard 06-13-2008 09:33 AM

Skid Row used to put on GREAT shows back in the day. Awesome live band.

Never cared for Slaughter, his voice gets to me after a while and the song writing is not as solid.

nikki99 06-13-2008 09:35 AM

slaughter ya kidding me?

their website is not updated since 2006 I guess, no tour dates also, I have all their discography, warrant, slaughter, u guys are killing me I have diarrea now

SykkBoy 06-13-2008 09:38 AM

I saw Skid Row a couple months back and while Sebastian's replacement isn't as good as him, he's still pretty damn good...

For me though, the highlight was Snake stepping in to sing their cover of "Psychotherapy"

Furious_Male 06-13-2008 10:37 AM

I had no idea Slaughter was still around. I would go see them just for nostalgic reasons.

Xrated J 06-13-2008 10:44 AM

i guess my invite to that got lost in the mail. it happens. i have to been a few concerts lately that blew my doors off! saw Metallica, Megadeth, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Rise Against, Flogging Molly and on and on.

bronco67 06-13-2008 10:48 AM

Where did you get that time machine?

BTW, No Sebastion Bach = No Skid Row.

1off 06-13-2008 10:48 AM

Glad to hear the replacement is even close to Sebastian. Surprises the hell out of me actually, since he's probably top 5 voices in rock. Even if you hate the band, the music, the writing or whatever. Everyone always says "but he has a really good voice" :1orglaugh

I saw Skid Row (with Sebastian Bach) open for Ted Nugent and KISS 10 years ago or so, it was one of the most badass fucking concert nights ever.

HAPPYPEEKERS 06-14-2008 10:07 AM

I went to that show in Calgary, I'm pretty sure Bach was out of Skid Row by then though?

Does (or did) Brian Baker (Minor Threat, Dag Nasty) play guitar for Skid Row?

Slick 06-16-2008 10:55 AM

I don't like when bands replace their lead singer then carry on with the same name. It's the singer that truly makes the band and when you throw someone else in there, it's just not the same band.

Warrant did the same thing, they got rid of Jannie Lane and brought in Jaime St. James former singer from Black N' Blue, it's not the same.

Look at the flip side GNR...axel should not be calling himself GNR....its more than just the singer that makes the band....especially live ...when it matters

GNR is total mess. how on earth he can call the band GNR what a joke. Now that STP is back together maybe the REAL GNR can try to reunite as well. would be incredible.
