thats what they expect ok it might be a bit less but $18 a gallon is already hell and back. I see more n more Prius cars here and ppl nagging. Im not too sure OPEC isnt gonna allow that. I know my next car is gonna be one thast better on gas. Any idea what ppl get here for selling their USA cars? Nada. Car sales are down in general but having a USA car now is hell and back. I never bothered to check milage on cars but now I do. 1 euro 60 last month 1 euro 70 this month per litre, its nuts. If this is gonna proceed the $20 per gallon here will be there. I really wonder how long the US is gonna be able to keep gasprices that low. |
$10 a gallon here in Denmark right now.

we have it nice in US only $4.00/gallon |
Yea.. europe has always had more expensive gas than the US.. that is why I have never really bitched too much at gas prices here in the us
|
$9.50/gal in Poland
|
I heard about people who now complain about shellin' $50 to fill up their "Toyota Pryus" ... yeah .. its that bad ..

|
my parents live out of the city, it costs my dad about 15 a day now to drive to work and back. hes working overtime weekly to make up for it, shits gotta suck.
|
Things are gonna get seriously nasty, if they haven't already.
It's just out of control, and getting worse week by week... |
1,70 - 1,80 Euro liter now , around $ 9.86 gallon in EU Finland

Fucking speculators :2 cents:
Cost of the produce one barrel of oil is max 7 dollars ($10 from the ground in Canada). One barrel of oil is 42 galons. 42 x $10= $420 = fucking good business :321GFY |

However ridiculous the prices are and the shift of wealth from west to middle east is - prices seem not to be too high at all. As long as we can profitably import string beans from Kenya and bananas from Guatemala here in Europe, prices are simply unreasonably low. Hypocritical truck drivers have demonstrated in the past week against high diesel prices and the planned increase in fuel taxes - yet they continue driving empty trucks in 50% of the cases.
Even if it may increase my expenses, I hope oil prices will further rise to $300 or however much more it takes to spark some serious regulation and efficiency innovation. You know, I'm a frequent flyer, but I wholeheartedly welcome Continental's decrease in their Cleveland flight capacity, EasyJet's probable closure of their Dortmund base and the bankruptcy of a number of airlines this year. It's insane that I had 3 seats for myself in last Monday's Hong Kong - London flight on Air New Zealand, a flight that had a seat occupancy of less than 30%. The return was E400 including all taxes and surcharges, so there's no way ANZ made a profit on this flight. However, if flight taxes would be charged per plane instead of per passenger, this and other airlines would think more than twice about flying half-empty planes. And they're not even taxed on kerosine purchases yet! People, organisations and governments need to feel the pain in their pockets to take action. |

Average margins of big oil companies are less then 10%, so there are a lot of better businesses then being oil company. Quote:
