Pistons are gonna blow up the lineup

Talk is it'll be for Carmelo or some other "superstar" god this goes against everything that has been able to get the Pistons to 6 straight east finals.... Why screw up a proven formula?

Trade Billups + some to the Bulls and take the Memphis PG (bulls LOVE washed up Pistons for some reason)

Anybody short of a Dwight Howard type player just isn't worth it... let this old team ride out another year or 2 in tact and competing in the east. Hope for another draft like last years and bring in a couple more young players. Billups is in fact on his last leg but show some loyalty and let him ride for 1 more year at least.

and what has 'melo done? unless its a straight Billups for 'melo this would be robbery.

'melo is a ball hog and goes against more than 6years of work that the Pistons have done.

My point is that between the Pistons and the Spurs they've proven that this style works. Getting a me first type player is about as dumb as the Suns getting an over the hill shaq and suddenly going from a running team to a set offense team.

I wanted Billups to sit when the rookie was playing so well and Billups was clearly hurt. I think the Pistons have a good PG for the future BUT where does 'melo fit in with the team philosophy?
