So our house was a crime scene today!

Sometime in the night someone crashed at the corner up the street 1 block over, and apparently he ran through our neighborhood, into one of the back of one of our cars to hide till the police left from looking for him. He got blood all over the back of the car and stole 3 packs of smokes. So today the police and CSI people were here to dust the car and get blood samples. They said he was in there for about 3 hours. Our dog never even barked once. Some watch dog she is.

farkedup 06-13-2008 12:23 PM

time to get a new dog? teach him to go nuts when he smells blood...

After Shock Media 06-13-2008 12:24 PM

Finger print dust sucks.

Had someone who was shot in the back with a shotgun who ended up crashing through my side door and ended up flopped there yelling for help, or more like gurgling for it. I got up and went in armed cause I had no idea wtf happened and why I heard someone in my kitchen screaming something. Saw scene, called 911. Talked him through it mostly, had him apply some pressure to his chest with a towel I had and awaited emergency. Got ambulance as well as a mini swat team.

Learned one thing, do not remain to calm during entire incident. That caused a great deal of questioning. Oh and that blood really sucks ass to get out of anything, even sealed wood.

That sounds like an exciting day. At least it's something different to deal with. But yea, you need a new dog

I love investigative stuff, I swear I should have gone into the whole CSI thing. I love trying to figure things out.

Keep your old dog. She didn't bother with that situation because it wasn't worth barking about.

She knows when to wake you up and when to let you sleep.

potter 06-14-2008 05:06 AM

crazy shit. glad it was the car and not the house

VeriSexy 06-14-2008 06:07 AM

Your dog sucks. My dog would have went nuts. He goes nuts when he's in the house and hears a noise close to my house. He's a really good watch dog :)

i used to own a coffee shop and it had a small loft above the shop. On weekends i would often crash at the loft with my pitbull "gnarly". One time an ex employee broke in to steal the espresso machine ( the thing weighed like 300 lbs ). What he didnt realise was the espresso machine was wider than the door. I heard the commotion downstairs and looked out the window and saw the ex-employees car outside, realising what was probably happening i called the cops then i went outside and ripped out his wiring harness from his car and sat outside with a gun waiting for him to exit. He was pissed drunk so i didnt bother shooting him , plus he really wasnt accomplishing much. The cops showed up just as he popped his hood to figure out why his car wasn't going anywhere. Anyways after the cops did their thing ( 1+ hour later ) i went back inside to sleep and find my vicious pitbull sleeping like a baby , he had slept through the entire thing.

probably not the best idea for a chick, would make for an interesting couple of days each month.

Babaganoosh 06-15-2008 08:02 PM

Haha, your dogs are lazy. I can barely keep our Pomeranian off the UPS guy when he comes to the door.

My chow goes nuts when anyone comes near our house, and beth and I aren't directly present and calm. It's good and bad, but for situations like that, I'm glad we've got a vicious lil guard pup.

DaddyHalbucks 06-15-2008 08:18 PM

Glad no one got hurt.
