With every 3rd driver texting while driving I will always drive a huge SUV
Gas at $10? Ok I still drive my massive SUV. At least I have more of a chance if some dumb fuck runs into me with his Civic while texting his douchbag friends. Plus, I have to haul production gear and big dogs all over the city so a small car just does not work for me.
I swear every 3rd car is either on the phone or texting while driving. Anyone else with me on this?. . . |
everyone does it

You better check the brand of your massive SUV, some are pure death traps, heard of a couple from china that didnt get approval for driving the roads in europe as they are too dangerous if you crash :2 cents:
I heard several italians saying all you need is a REALLY BIG engine so you can hit the gas pedal and drive REALLY FAST away to avoid being hit if there is an accident. I don't really understand the logic but since it involve a big engine it might be worth a try :thumbsup |
Who buys SUVS from China? Can you even get those in the States?
|
It's going to be a ticketable offense in CA soon enough, on a case by case basis.

I text while driving my SUV :) (but only at stop lights or traffic jams)
|
I drive a Gigantic Escalade I couldn't care less about gas prices.
But I sure do feel safe.. Man i'd have a new car every week if I didn't move out of the way for idiots on their cell phone about to smash into me. |
Safety is not about the size. Check http://www.euroncap.com/ for european safety tests. They are much more strict, than american.
Most of the big SUVs (Audi Q7 for example) get lower scores than smaller cars, designed with safety in mind. |
