uno 06-15-2008 10:52 AM

It better be as good as iron man.

ProducerCashDave 06-15-2008 10:53 AM

iheartbucks 06-15-2008 11:18 AM

yah it was def better than the other one, some nice action scenes, not bad overall, but not all that

Gasper 06-15-2008 11:19 AM

the first movie had a better story. this one has more action ..

M0nk 06-15-2008 11:53 AM

CaptainHowdy 06-15-2008 12:07 PM

Zuzana Designs 06-15-2008 12:08 PM

Going to take my son this week.. I hear it was ok

DefaultMan 06-15-2008 12:16 PM

I am going to try and see it tonight. I hope it is as good as Iron Man but doubtful.

skrog 06-15-2008 12:54 PM

It wasn't that bad. I would say go see it. :thumbsup

P.S. I would stay clear of 'The Happening'.

Varius 06-15-2008 01:17 PM

Saw it yesterday, was better than the Eric Bana one, and I like Tim Roth and Ed Norton and they played their roles perfectly. I think Iron Man was the better of the two though.

What's up next, Thor ?

F-U-Jimmy 06-15-2008 01:50 PM

I liked it much better than the first attempt, but its not as good as Iron Man :)

Horny Alf 06-15-2008 01:53 PM

It was NOT as good as Iron Man, but blew the first Hulk away.

SexualDragon 06-15-2008 02:50 PM

I'm gonna wait til next weekend when the crowd dies down

Validus 06-15-2008 02:53 PM

Oh boy, doesn't sound very... "good".

The totally butchered the first one! Figured that having Ed. Norton in this one might make it better. Haha.

Nothing beats Transformers so far!

Excuse copy pasta.

Ant-man:
With ?Shaun of the Dead? director, Edgar Wright attached to the film you know this movie is going to rock. For those not familiar with Ant-Man, He is Dr. Hank Pym who has created a way to shrink himself and communicate with insects. Ant-Man is one of the original Avengers. He later becomes ?Giant Man.?
Could Simon Pegg star in another one of Wright?s films? Let?s hope so. These two are gold together.

Captian America:
Nick Cassavetes ihas been rumored to direct this film but Marvel official status on the movie is that a writer is engaged. The writer being David Self.

Thor:
Thor might b Marvel?s biggest challenge in translating to film. Most of Marvel?s heroes are grounded and makes you feel like they really could exist. With Thor he really is the god of thunder.
Matthew Vaughn was set to direct this move but Marvel?s official status on the film is ?writer engaged.? Hopefully that is only a mistake.

The Avengers:
The plan is to have individual character chapters before this movie and then bring them all together to create the Avengers. That means Iron Man, Hulk, Ant-Man, Captain America, Thor, Nick Fury and more all in the same film. Jon Favreau is interested in directing.

That?s the list of Marvel?s self produced movies but all look out for these movies licensed to other studios.
?Punisher: War Zone? - September 12, 2008
?X-Men Origins: Wolverine? - May 1, 2009 release

flowereater 06-15-2008 04:04 PM

gotta see this one

2MuchMark 06-15-2008 04:13 PM

The first HULK movie was fucking fantastic. I hope this one is just as good.

You know, 'The Happening' has been hammered with bad reviews.
Despite them - I decided to see it this evening.

Needless to say, I went with low expectations, but came out very satisfied.

I've not seen the trailers, or how the film was billed - but it's definitely not an action flick.
It's hard to classify it as horror - although there are definitely some quease-inducing scenes. Moreover, it's like a hitchcockian classic - a slow boiling thriller, with real depth and poingancy.

I do have a question though: I saw this in Paris, and the closing scene was in Paris. Interested to know if the closing scene was different depending on your country.

bronco67 06-15-2008 05:26 PM

No rants, no raves. Just "meh". There was some crazy action going on that made me want to yawn.

The first one is better, and despite what people say, it has some great action scenes -- and Ang Lee happens to be a great, high caliber director.

the new Hulk was made by the guy who did Transporter 2. Nuff said.

StuartD 06-15-2008 08:14 PM

I still don't see why people rag on the first one so much. It was very well done.
Still though, this one was just as good, or better even. It really delved into his feelings more, the explanations more... and had some very intense action.

I'd definitely recommend seeing it, especially if you ever want to see the Avengers movie (should it ever be completed).

It looks like they're working towards a united Marvel movie universe with that cameo at end by "you know who". So we have iron man and Hulk done, with Captain America and Thor in the works. Let's hope we don't get a Wasp, or Ant man movie also.

Check my post, lol. Ant man is up next from Marvel studios and according to story lines so far it will also cover the wasp some. They are building up to the Avengers. Ya not the true first Avengers (otherwise no Captian America etc).

By the way who is you know who, for cameo you think?

SGS 06-16-2008 01:30 AM

? Transformers was the worst of the lot in my opinion. So much Hype and then a huge let down because of the crappy CGI. It would have been better had it just been animated in my opinion.

The ending was in Paris here in the US as well, at least in Az.

jeff-atlas 06-16-2008 09:59 AM

I wish it was just the the original TV series.

MrPinks 06-16-2008 10:11 AM

I fucking loved it! I didn't have high hopes going into the theater. I am going out on a limb and saying that I liked it better than Iron Man. Awesome movie. That makes two movies in a row that I liked (Hulk and The Strangers), both starring Liv Tyler :winkwink:

emac 06-16-2008 11:45 AM

will watch it this weekend.

It's the second movie that has 'ended ominously' in Paris - 28 weeks later, and this.
They must think the french need cheering up - each time it happens, everyone is rolling around laughing :D

Well then that explains the last scene of Hulk. :thumbsup
